Overall good entertainment

I liked the overall story except some parts were a bit hard to be believed as realistic. Narration was great except the one voice of the character "Ina" really was over the top as far as being irritating and unlikable.

50/50 on this one

One thing that really is disappointing in a ghost story for me is when you feel like the story had everything it needed to get 5 stars on the Creep Scale. Personally, I think GREAT ghost stories have to have a fairly significant creepy historical factor to get things going, and this book DOES! The story takes place in a town that was completely abandoned a hundred years ago and no one ever found out what happened to the residents, although theories of cults, plague, and even aliens exist. A team of documentary filmmakers who have undisclosed ties to the ghost town arrive to uncover the past and confirm what really happened. The relationships between the characters have their own story and the history behind some of the conflict is conveyed slowly with the perfect tension that draws out the suspense. Super creepy things start happening from page one, and I was SO prepared to give this book a great review. Alas, my biggest critique is with the ending where things devolve pretty quickly into an almost comical conclusion. I would probably still recommend the book but just be prepared that you may be shaking your head a bit at the end. Narrator does a good job.

Kept me wondering

Fantastic story, despite a somewhat lackluster ending. Really kept me wondering what would unfold next.

Had some good moments, but...

Story had some good moments, but fell short overall. I think it was mainly the ending that I didn't care for. The story itself at the end just seem to lose steam, and the narration, which had been okay for the most part, at the end just seemed too silly to be serious.

gripping story full of lively characters and great descriptions! fully enjoyed the tale! had me on the edge of my seat. the reader did a great job of making the story come to life.

Dual timeline and urban exploring

I was searching for a dual timeline are usually do romance, but this book popped up. It immediately had me hooked and had a few other things that I love the most dual timeline, urban, exploring mystery, and then that little bit of a shiver I would get listening to this at night excellent book I’ll be looking into more from this author

great story bad audio

The story was amazing and truly creepy. But the audio levels were awful, to the point i had to stop listening and just buy the physical book instead.

Good story but...

The narration was overwrought. She didn’t know if she had an American, British, or Swedish accent. I could only listen in small spurts.

Spectacular....so so good!

I wasn't sure if I would like this book in the beginning but then it got good and the longer I listened, the better it got all the way to the end.

So so good!

Once I started to read The Lost Village I couldn’t put the book down.Over 300 pages I find myself laying in bed at 3:00 in the morning with my heart pounding.This was a great book can’t wait to read more of Camilla Sten’s books.
