The difficult part was knowing the result of the election while reading a recounting of the effort made for 107 days. She not only gives the reader a daily recounting of the campaign but also her thoughts and assessments. I was usually riveted.

Loved the book, the narration and the detailed accounting. Just wish the outcome would have been different.

We could've had a better world

I'll be honest -- this is a tough listen. Circumstances did Harris dirty at every turn, and it's the country that suffers as a result. It's heartbreaking to imagine what might have been -- what should have been, if we weren't so stubbornly mired in second and racism. Harris deserved better, and so did the country. This behind the scenes window into her short, hopeful campaign is, I suppose, a necessary companion to the history others will write about it. That doesn't make it any easier to listen to, though, as good as it is.

Inspiring, powerful, hopeful

This book is a powerful reminder that courage and resilience can light the way even in our darkest moments. It gave me not only hope, but also the strength to keep fighting for my family, my community, and the future of our country. For all of us supporters, it allows us to mourn while finding hope with this incredible leader.

Kamala and the Tragedy of a Nation's Blindness!

Kamala Harris would have made a GREAT president. Her intelligence, conviction, and strength of character were evident to anyone truly paying attention. But as history has a way of repeating itself, we find ourselves in a familiar and tragic pattern. Just as when Moses ascended the mountain and his people, in impatience and disobedience, chose to worship a golden calf, a false god born out of greed and fear, today many Americans have once again chosen a false idol.

This time, the idol is not made of gold but of deception, a golden felon who lies almost by the hour. And just like the Israelites who faced divine consequences for their choices, one can't help but wonder what our nation will face for its own.

I often imagine how future generations and historians will interpret this era. Will they ask:

Were Americans truly that uneducated?
That naïve?
Did they ignore the signs, fail to learn from history, or simply not care?
Or were they, quite frankly, just that foolish?

The reassuring truth is that ultimate judgment does not lie with politicians, pundits, or public opinion, but with God. And while many of these corrupt, power-hungry leaders invoke His name, they forget that divine justice awaits us all. When they leave this world, their wealth and influence will mean nothing. And I doubt many of them will pass through the gates of heaven.
As I listened to Kamala’s words in this book, I was struck by the clarity, compassion, and strength she embodies. She would have been a remarkable president. It’s deeply unfortunate that the American people, in a moment of shortsightedness, failed to recognize that the very future of our democracy was on the line, and still is!

Well written. Honest and engaging. She details events in an easy to follow organized way. It was an easy and interesting listen.

Made me cry thinking about what could have been

Getting to hear Kamala in her own telling of how she experienced it is such a gift. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book as well as her first one. I’m still grieving her loss of the election.
