Really love the Kane &Alton series. I still struggle with the narrator but she seems better, not so overly affected. Love the ending 😀

I’m obsessed with this series and can’t wait for the next book. They always keep me on my toes.

Story as expected, narration not what I expected

with quickly deteriorating eyesight I have continued my reding addition. I can listen even longer at a time. I began this series of mysteries with Book 1 and have read in order. Stories are as expected, serial killers, with some plot twists though not many surprises wince the characters are well known by now. I often have 3 or more books going at the same tim3. I have quickly gone through at least 2 or 3 of these series in a week. Now my problem is with the reader. Startine with a positive, she is the only one to give Tauri's name the proper Native American pronunciation. For the rest of her reading: she speaks in a pattern with a drop at the end of most phrases. though she has a good sense of a Texas dialect she has given it more to Carter than Wolfe. There is no basis whatsoever to give Carter a Texas dialect. Trust me it even gets worse the tne following novels. Her voice makes me want to constantly clear my throat and when she laughs, chuckles or whatever I waernt to cringe. They all sound the same evil or good, happy or scared or whatever. .Want to finish the series or would not listen to;nisten to her
