Awww!

I really liked it! The story was so sweet and all the characters were amazing. Kinda overused the words husband and wife hahah but they had a good reason! The narrators did an excellent job, even when doing the opposite sex voices.

I love Ocean so much

Ocean gets her happily ever after. A much deserved one. But man is it a ride to get there. There are many twists and things I didn’t see coming. I loved this story so much. I loved how her pack saw her and never let her see herself as less than. They supported and loved her the way she deserved. This is one of my favorites.

I want that lingerie line!

I bought this on a whim during a sale. I’m not very familiar with the Omegaverse, so I had to figure some of it out. But as a real life polyamorous person, I love a multiple romance without having to choose! What attracted me was the premise of the fat girl actually getting a HEA. I don’t think I was prepared, though, for how much I identified with Ocean. Anyone who has lived in a larger body for years knows the relentless negative messages, casual cruelties, and internalized shame that comes with it. Ocean’s Aunt and Uncle were drawn a bit broadly, but are all too realistic, on the whole. I’ve heard their kind of nastiness far too often. But I absolutely cried and even sobbed with Ocean as she struggled to believe that anyone might want her, and to overcome a lifetime of pain and shame. Her cycles of increasing confidence undercut by triggers and new emotional (and some physical!) assaults were devastatingly realistic. Even with a team of encouraging, willing, and eager partners, slow progress and backsliding are to be expected, when trying to heal from relentless — and somewhat ongoing — trauma. So be prepared to feel a LOT as you listen, and have a box of tissues handy! There are a lot of tears to get through before you get to the HEA!

At the end of the day, though, what I really envied wasn’t her Alphas themselves. (Though they were incredibly handsome and quite creative in bed!) What I really envied was that truly size-inclusive lingerie line (and the infinite budget to purchase it all!) *sigh* Now THAT is unbelievable! 😆

Performances

The voice actors are amazing. They brought the book to life. I’ve enjoyed works by this author and cannot wait to find other books by not only her but the voice actors as well.

The Plot Though!

I thought it was gonna be same old same old but this plot had some great twists and turns! The Omegas in this series ease that burn in my chest from unresolved injustice! I love how the author ties up EVERY loose end!

it's a Cinderella story retold

If I could have had a heads up that this was retelling of Cinderella I would not have listened to it. I have several I already like so another one for me was unnecessary. Plus the Cinderella character in this story is REALLY messed up! I think a more detailed content warning would help with this story.
