Great start to a series!

I read another book by this author and wasn't that impressed by the world building it the character interactions- but this book was world's better! I'm very excited for the rest of the series!

That cliffhanger!

I'm very impatiently waiting for the next book. this story had wonderful world building and character growth. I wish more of the ancient lore had been woven throughout but I'm hoping it's in the next book.

Fabulous Story

This is the first I have read/listened to from this author. The story is absolutely fabulous. Just enough descriptions to give great visual images but not so much to bog down the story into boringness. The characters are easy to envision and either love or hate, the storyline is entertaining, gripping at times, endearing at others, and just enough spice to heat things up without going over the top, it brings all the feels. The voice actors do a fabulous job, The female actor is great, she brings emotion to the character without it coming across as whiny or warbly in the voice which too many actors rely on. She expresses strength of character through her voice without it coming across as witchy, truly she is fantastic. The best of all is that her voice tones are mellow, not grating in any way, just soothing to the ears making it pleasant to listen to. Too many female actors voices do not achieve this. This is very important as most of the story is told through the female character's pov. The male actor does a great job except that he does not change his voice to differentiate between the different male characters, and since there are 3 main male characters, it would have been good to have 3 different male actors because it is too easy to get lost as to who is speaking. But other than that he does a great job. It is easy to connect with the characters and feel for them. This first book in the series does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared for that. It is a fabulous story, one that I highly recommend. The author writes so engagingly that when I am finished with this series, I will definitely seek out more books by this author.

This book is very descriptive and world building, I was able to imagine everything that was being described. There was enough details to helo me imagine the world but not too many to make it boring.

When the chapter in the POV of one of the MMCs came and I heard his voice I squealed! It was the best surpirse, Gabriel is a narrator for many books I’ve loved but most importantly he portrays Xayden Riorson in the Graphic Audios. Which I recently finished hearing Onyx Storm and I was left with a book hangover so to hear his voice again was healing in an unexpected way and made me even more excited to continue this book.

The tension between Layna and the dragons was palpable and sizzling the first spicy scene is halfway through the book and it was mild since the FMC was a virgin until much later that turns HOT.
During the story specially near the end, you could feel the frustration the dragons specifically Ender’s felt during the whole time which made the reading faster since i couldnt put it down.
Tbh finding out what happens was a bit anticlimatic because you kinda always knew as a reader that they were mates. Regardless the storyline was fun to read/hear and cant wait to continue to the second book specially with that cliffhanger!!!

Waiting for the 2nd Book!

Loved this story, hated that it ended right when it felt like it was getting started.
