alright not great

compared to every other book in the series this one wasn't great, stories fine but there's no progression. it's just hours of finishing the last book and the mc eating.

good job

consistent pacing and continuation of the characters development.
my only complaint is that tala STILL couldn't beat rane in a fight (apparently because she didn't want to hurt his pride) so annoying.
I feel like this story is slowly revealing that tala is just a subservient girl to her man like every other character in the books.

Amazing characters and world

This series continues to deliver some of the best character work and world building in the genre. Progression is always present and feels earned. Excited for the next installment!

Wonderfully done

This book continues the pattern of odd books action and adventure, and even numbers being development and growth. Well written mild urgency, lots of foreshadowing. I am looking forward to whatever comes next!
