Jimmy Lynch and Charlene Doyle have a dysfunctional relationship. They are both originally from the mountains of western North Carolina but now live in the suburbs of Atlanta. Neither one has assimilated to suburban life. Nor are they good people.

Jimmy is an insensitive, abusive man with a terrible temper. Charlene is a petty criminal who is a habitual cheater. A horrific incident occurs at their home one night that turns their suburban life upside down. As we get to know Jimmy and Charlene better, we learn there is more to them than being flawed. The abovementioned incident causes them to evolve into the darkest type of human.

Appalachian Siren is an 18+ backwoods horror/splatterpunk book. This book also contains a lot of graphic sex.

Amazing performance

This story is brutal and unhinged in all the best ways! I enjoyed the performance as the narrator performed her butt off for this! Well worth the listen!

Intriguing

Wow! This was definitely a very graphic sexual and muderous plot. If you can’t handle sexual context don’t read this one. Follow Jimmy and Charlene as they go on a murderous rampage with sexual thrills along the way. The narrator was good, the only thing I’d complain about if that often time get “Jimmy” sounded like “Jenny” and would throw me off for just a split second especially in the beginning. She’d say it right for awhile then it would sound like “ Jenny”. I thought the story was smooth going into one event into another. It kept me intrigued and wanting more. I’d like a second book.

This is a super crazy and very entertaining horror/splatterpunk story! There’s definitely lots of R+ rated scenes throughout, as well as gore!
Some actions at home make Charlene and Jimmy take off into the woods to start new lives. Once there, they find that they have a mutual new hobby, which they both seem to enjoy!!
They make a killer couple!! ❤️🔪🩸
This is my first book from this author and I really enjoyed her writing style. It was well written and I liked the storyline. The ending was fantastic too!
I listened to the audio version and the narrator did a fantastic job!

It’s out now, so grab your copy when you need something to keep you engaged!!

One of the best Splatterpunk Audiobooks

An excellent messed-up love story. It had the perfect amount of story with the perfect amount of gore. Getting this from a new Author is fantastic. I cannot wait for further books from Leslie. Lila Kerry delivered amazingly, and brought the story to life in so many ways it felt almost more like an audio play. Highly recommended addition to your splatterpunk collection. Something I would not mind listening to again in the future and anxiously waiting for a sequel (wink, wink)

Crazy Ride

It was fairly short but it all came together really well. I really enjoyed the ending as well, I loved Charlene’s character development! It was a great mix of erotica and horror. The storyline was not what I expected to happen, which I liked! Plenty of twists and turns as well! Appalachian Siren was a great listen, the narrator did a great job helping bring the character to life as well.

Entertaining and violence galore

A great listen that starts quick and doesn’t let off the gas. I loved the character development of Charlene, and the last several chapters were packed full of the gore and violence I look for when reading this genre.

Lila does an amazing job with the narration and really gives the characters life and showcases their personalities.

Depraved backwoods death sexathon. That just about sums it up. Fun and fast story. Narration is on point. I’ll be keeping my eye on this author.

Erotic splatterpunk? Yep!

Rather than a romance, this focuses on Jimmy and Charlene. They are two very broken people who deal with similar demons. Former Backwoods homesteaders who end up in a suburb where they clearly don't fit, Charlene has some serious fidelity issues. Jimmy is more educated, although he hangs on to his back-home roots. He has made a life for them so they can live in a decent home in the area. Then it all goes pretty damn dark.

The story intertwined the characters and their actions very well. The antagonist/protagonist roles changed a few times back and forth, and I believe it was done well. The story's ending left it wide open yet closed. So, will there be another book? I'm interested to see where this story may go.

After listening, I need a sequel! Charlene!

Check your TW. There are a few things that may not be for some folks, but this is an excellent take on the erotic horror genre. It's a nice, quick read, fast-paced, and has enough drive to keep your interest.

And Lila Kerry's narration? Perfection! She brought this story to another level!

Can I say disgusting good?

This book kept you in their insane life. All the way from the beginning you start to understand not just how psycho they are but how sadisticly evil the pair is. Definitely watch the trigger warning but also be super open minded and extremely ready for the ride!
