Maybe we can find happiness together. Or maybe not. His obsession with me borders on madness, and I'm starting to worry I'll forever be his captive bride.

I loved it!

Dark sexy and a great listen. The narrators were fantastic. If you like your romance on the dark side step right in. On to the next book which should be more of the same. Yum yum!

Great story

I liked the story line overall and the happy ending. Some forced mating was hard to hear because I prefer some female worship even in an uneven power dynamic, if that makes sense. But again great story!

Diminished

At first I cheered on the defiant woman with nothing to lose but her own sense of self and she would not go down without a fight. Then, she was weakened by promised news of a mother she hadn’t seen since she was four. Out comes the abuse and she buckles under demeaning treatment. Why make her eat that?! The aliens are sadist. The ruling human males are despicable and women still can’t get a break. A cautionary tale.

Not as good as the first book

This book was difficult to get thru as rape is never okay with me. B&D and “rough play” is acceptable and can be enjoyable when all parties are willing, even in fiction. Describing the violent sex moments went on monotonously too long, and by the end of the book I felt sad for the female; similar to how victims fall for their abductors.

I didn’t like the incessant repetition of storyline bits. It felt like “beating a dead horse” after a while or like the author thought the reader forgot the “why” of things.

The male narrator’s portrayal of the female bordered on condescending or stereotypical whiny-female.

I didn’t feel the love between Raddack and Thalia. The other books in the series had great chemistry between the lovers AND great sex.

It didn’t feel as if she was enjoying it as much as he was.

A good listen

Same kind of premise as the first book but with a less BDSM kind of steamy scenes. Still a lot of heat throughout the book and a good plot easy to follow. This is the emperor of the aliens and she is the first female to be found and chosen as a mate. The audio from both readers is good the man still sounds a little like a radio voice but still a good listen. Enjoyed the book.

Radakk’s Mate by Sue Lyndon (book 2 of Worldship Brides)

Warning; This series books have very dark, dominant, rough, explicit sex scenes. Book 1 is about Tornn and Ellie. Book 2 is about Radakk and Thalia. I think I would’ve liked this book a lot better without some of the explicit rough sex things going on, since the story in itself was very interesting.

The males are brutal

I don't like the anal brutality. The story line is to simular. I don't think I'll not be reading anymore.

This book sounded like all the rest. The performance was good but the book had nothing new. Wasted of time
