His to devour. His to claim. His to keep?
I only went out to the supermarket. Then I was abducted. By aliens. Freaking aliens! What the hell? So now I'm on another planet, at the mercy of one massive alien predator . . . And what an alien he is! Big muscles everywhere, handsome, winged, and with a burning desire to eat me. Whole.
Jyr is the leader of a fearsome alien species known as the Gryn. Dark and dangerous, winged and clawed, these predators need females, and he believes he already owns me.
I'm not that sort of girl. For a start I don't belong to him, or anyone. I'm not staying on this planet to produce babies for an alien male who stalks my every move. Who looks at me like I'm his perfect prey. Who makes me feel warm inside. Better than I've felt in a very long time.
But none of that matters. I don't belong here. I've got to get back to Earth, by any means possible.
Just one problem . . . This alien predator isn't going to let me go . . .
Contains mature themes.

FMC - Viv has trauma and doesn’t find herself lovable or worth being noticed. So when a handsome 7ft warrior is declaring your the most beautiful thing he has ever seen, she has a hard time trusting this.
MMC - Enters Jyr - 7th winged confident, handsome and a little arrogant Prime of the Gryn. He secretly has been building a lair and nest for his fated mates for years, even though all the females of his race were killed off year prior. He never gave up hope, and one day a “human” drops from the sky.
This was a first for me from this author and I was very pleased with how the story turned out. The narrators did a fantastic job and I cannot wait to continue the series.
Great Read! - Jyr and Viv

Romance: 💙💚💜
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😤😠🙃
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration
The heroine: Viv - she is taken from outside her home and wakes up with a tube down her throat in a pool of goo, naked on the floor. She pulls the tube out of her throat and sees a bunch of large bags full of liquid with tubes going into them and a woman inside each of them. All of the sudden, the rear of the room opens and she is falling from a spaceship onto a planet when something flying with claws grabs her out of the air.
The Hero: Jyr - he is the prime of the Gryn legion, the only Gryn legion left on Ustacas after the reckoning (a war between organics and machines). A legion of a hundred vicious and daunting males. They are formidable predators with wings and claws. They lost most of their females in the reckoning and need more for the species to survive.
The Story: Viv is brought to the ground after being caught, she is still naked and now covered in mud. When she looks up, expecting to see a large bird, she sees humanoid men with wings. Her inner voice calls them ‘bad angels’. The men go and get their leader, a 7 foot tall ‘bad angel’, handsome and fearsome.
Viv was burned badly in the past and has burn scars on her skin, she considers herself disfigured. I don’t know why some authors like to put disfiguring scars on their Heroes or heroines. Do they think making them less than perfect makes them more relatable? I am not sure but I don’t like it, I am also not a fan of women who are fat or “curvy”. I am curvy and I don’t want to read about curvy or scarred heroines. I like to imagine a thin and pretty heroine. I get enough of women like myself when I look in the mirror.
The story is told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Dan Calley and Carmen Rose. Both of these narrators speak with an accent. I can’t tell what accent, possibly European or South African. Either way, they both have good voices and are competent narrators, though neither are among my favorite narrators, they both are a bit monotone and don’t portray much emotion through their voices.
The world building was fairly good, though I found the story to be no more than average for the alien romance genre and the characters a bit flat. I am not sure if it was the accents, the writing or my mood, but I just didn’t get invested in the characters like I usually do. Also the book tries to be super steamy, especially because the alien male has two sexual appendages, but it just comes off a bit corny.
