  • 92. Amityville Buried This Haunting...But You Need to Know About It.
    Nov 6 2026

In 1977, The Amityville Horror put a haunted house on every bookshelf in the world. Within weeks, a second book appeared beside it, which seems to have been overshadowed. Yet it’s a truly compelling (and eerie) haunting case.

Night Stalks the Mansion was written by Harold Cameron and Constance Westbie, and it records what happened to the Cameron family in the early 1960s, when Harold, a business executive with a wife, four children and a six-month-old baby, rented a house for $3,600 a year.

The house itself is the Heilbron Mansion, just off West Rose Tree Road in Middletown, Pennsylvania, and what the Camerons met there has never had the audience it deserves.

Footsteps climbing the stairs at night, and an intense cold that arrived with them. Two five-month-old chow puppies bought as guard dogs, who shrank back from a woman in the house in absolute dread. A basement window painted black, inside and out, hiding a room the family had never seen. Coffins in a crypt on the grounds, rotted down to fragments of cloth and dust, with skulls looking up at the torchlight.

And beneath all of it, an older story. A girl of fourteen. A maple tree. A single pink dance shoe.

I'll take you through the whole case, in the order the Camerons recorded it, and we'll come to the girl at the centre of it, whose story this house would not let go of.

Have you ever lived somewhere that felt wrong before you could explain why? Let me know in the comments.

I'm Peter Laws, and this is Into the Fog.

  • 91. They Said They Were Collecting For Charity. In the Middle of the Night.
    Nov 1 2026

Eight figures in hooded robes. Burning torches. A freshly dug grave in a Scottish churchyard.

This is Into the Fog Embers, my companion series, where I share case updates and shorter paranormal accounts sent in by viewers. Not every story becomes a full documentary investigation, but some are too intriguing not to tell.

Tonight's Embers case comes from a viewer and centres on two strange incidents connected to St Lolan's Church and burial ground, also known as Kincardine Graveyard, at Blair Drummond, near Stirling, in Scotland.

The first took place in the early 1980s. Darren's mother was cycling home past the old cemetery in the early hours of the morning when she saw something she has never forgotten.

She told a neighbour, who went down to the graveyard to confront them himself, and came away with a perfectly ordinary explanation. It was only afterwards that he realised how strange that explanation really was.

The second comes from the late 1990s, when Darren's uncle was working in the same cemetery. Two men, years apart, both affected by the same grave enclosed in iron railings — and by what its 1813 inscription actually says.

Do you know this churchyard, or have you heard the local stories connected to it? I would love to hear from you in the comments below.

  • 90. The Poltergeist That Started in the Sky [Aveley]
    Oct 23 2026

They drove into a glowing green mist in 1974 and lost 3 hours. What followed them home turned a UFO encounter into a terrifying poltergeist haunting.

On 27th October 1974, John and Sue Day drove home to Aveley, Essex with their three young children when a pale blue light paced their car, the radio crackled and died, and a dense, glowing green mist swallowed the road. A 20-minute drive became nearly 3 hours missing. Then came nightmares of medical procedures, shadow figures, a clown-like visitor, moving objects, opening doors, humming and clicking, and phantom phone calls, much of it witnessed by investigators themselves.

In this episode, I investigate the Aveley case. One of Britain's most disturbing combined abduction and haunting cases. As UFO disclosure and talk of non-human intelligence grows, are abductions and hauntings part of the same phenomenon? And could this be linked to the infamous Sandown Clown case, which happened a year earlier, only 100 miles away?

I'm Peter Laws and this is Into the Fog. Real paranormal cases. Real witnesses. Told by a real person.

What do you think followed them home? Let me know in the comments.
