Donny Valentino is the name that haunts me.

This was supposed to be my last hush money payment to a dirty cop for a crime I didn't commit. I've been tethered to danger since I was a little girl because of my last name. Of course, when I see the light at the end of the tunnel, it's stripped from me… by him, a ruthless up-and-coming mob boss with no business being this hot.

Donny's the guy they call to kill the hitmen. And now he's trapped me for the rest of my days. I scheme and plan and try to escape, but he's always one step ahead of me. He's been hunting prey since I've been hiding from mobsters.

His hands are soaked in blood, and yet when his silver eyes land on me, I find myself wanting to draw nearer. Donny may be a killer, but he's a killer with a code. The torture I anticipated never comes. He's protecting me… from all the things I used to run from.

I keep telling myself I'll win my freedom. But now I realize…

A man falling for his captive

what I didn't like was them having to kill each others family members. But love the over all plot and storyline. I'd recommend as a good read.

Great plot twist

Love the plot twist and the work up even to the end. The heartaches and needs were depicted and narrated very well.

Just when I thought I could walk away from this Andy reduce it to pulp, it got better.

Had the worst XOXs scenes with all the words like slit etc, and it went on throughout, my fast forward times were at an all high time , something in the narrative would pull it out of the fire or smut pile to be able to finish this. Won’t try anything else from the author, but it deserved review.

Mediocre

Ok so this story, should have ended at the happily ever after. The female narrators voice and bad accent is worse than nails on a chalkboard. The characters tantrums and emotional responses are just obnoxious and took all the ‘good wrap’ vibes out of what should have been an ending and made the story tolerable, buuuutttt no. It kept going for unnecessary drama for word count, just made me hate the book and lose any interest in /respect for the author going forward. Bad story, unnecessary word count babbling and drama, horrible narration, and no idea what it is or how to write about a First Lady or Signora. A chip at best, lol.

Mafia King & Queen!

Donny and Ellie start on terrible footing. But there are some great turning points that made me hold my breath a few times. Amazing HEA and ultimately love them as a couple. Beware of trigger warnings!
