the writing

not a thing! very engaging and well planned out. I wouldn't change a thing and hope they hurry up and get the other books done!

Odyssey

3.5 stars

The Odyssey continues, with little hope of a quick return to home.

While this is still a story of wandering through space looking for clues (and a gate), there is more and better military action in this book than the last. And the character work is better here as well.

I'm still not a fan of the conceit of "Lost in Space" or "Star Trek: Voyager", but the storytelling here is good enough that I'll be continuing the series and hoping for a return to something more tactical in the near future.
