like many people I have been waiting for this to come to audible for a while. I did read the book when it came out physically and digitally, but after listening to so many books since then I had forgot about basically everything.

so here's my welfare white trash whiskey tango foxtrot thoughts about ops v1

performance- this is the lowest of the three review tiers, and it isn't because maestro Bray did a bad job, dude could read the 1980 world census and I'd be enthralled. The only small nit picky thing I didn't care for 100% was the voices for the Alpha operators. I know it's been several years since Bray voiced our favorite Tier-1 operators and Ali, Juice, and of course Predator were pretty spot on, but when Handon opened his mouth I thought he had been replaced with ol gunny Fick. Not something to tank the review but I did stop and back it up about 30 seconds.

story- MSF has always put his heart and soul into all of his series, guy doesn't get enough credit in my opinion, but I'm just one guy. Out of all the arisen side stories/prequels that have come out set before the main series operators is probably my second favorite. It's pretty close to being tied with Raiders and the only reason I love Raiders just a little bit more is Gunny Fick and the Marines in Marsoc

Damn Dude!!!!!!

So worth the wait! The Arisen universe just keeps growing and keeps getting better! Really enjoyed this story. An excellent addition to the overall story. RC bray was amazing as usual. This series needs to make its way to the big or small screen.

Cautiously intrigued

I love this series more than any other, the writing was great and the narration was amazing as always but man it was hard to get into this story. The main character was extremely well written but incredibly unlikeable. Knowing how the author writes I know he has a plan for the story but man was it hard to deal with at time when she’s just a straight up psycho. I’m interested to see where it goes.

Great story!

This was more about the SF character with zombies along for the ride. Perfect. Narrator did great. Messed up a couple of military terms but besides that it was great.

Author consistently writes a very believable story

Fuchs’ stories are amazingly well researched and meticulously written. Bray’s narration is the absolute icing on the cake.

Non-stop awesome, start to finish!

This book was non-stop awesome, start to finish! I cant wait to see where this series goes!
And RC Bray is the best narrator in the business!

Great back story, characters, action, serious attention to detail, and kick ass narration ! Enjoyed this on all levels and can't wait for the next book in the series .

A familiar world

If you like the Arisen world, you’ll enjoy this. Clearly a setup for an interesting character arc.

This is an outstanding book in addition to a wonderful series. Can’t wait for the next ones.
