Love this book!

I read this book a few months ago and wanted to read again but I was at work. I noticed that it was on here and immediately bought it! Exceeded my expectation from when I read the book to the audiobook! Amazing performance!

Daddy issues

Am I the only one who thinks it is weird she leaves her kid at home every night or is it just me. It’s an ok enough book about a girl with daddy issues who is rescued by a mob boss. Or is it an abused woman who likes spankings which is kind of weird. Don’t spend any money on it.

Mid

Everything was way overdone and cringy. If you are SUPER into spanking smut then I guess it's a good smut book for you but the Daddy kink aspect was awful. The psychology for that kink just wasn't there for the FL and the author could have put a lot more effort into the back story of both MCs. There are lots of Daddy kink books that are artfully done. This wasn't it. The only reason I finished it was the delicious accent of the Male narrator but I ended up skipping past the smut scenes after the first couple ones bc they just weren't good(imo), didn't contribute to the main storyline past the first couple times, and and I wanted to push through to the end as quickly as possible. Also this was the most watered down "Mafia" presentation I've ever read. A true Mafia daddy would have handled things WAY differently with the ex husband in this story.

Very well written. Audio well done!! great storyline. No 3rd act break up that I totally HATE!!! if there were more stars possible I would give more!

Love the Daddy twist

Great voices and story. I found myself feeling and experiencing the emotions shared. Has the harder discipline role that so many stories have not included in the build up I think for fear of offending a reader. Loved it!

Repetition of phrases

The repeating of the same phrases in the sexual encounters. The voice of the female lead

Narration was great not a duet but nicely done

So the story was OK The author writes really well, but this particular story has a female lead that is not strong. She is completely a submissive 100% of the time which I kind of found a little annoying for my own personal taste. (Now I will say Michelle Sparks did an awesome job being the narrator for the female character so don’t get me wrong on that account.) I don’t mind if they’re submissive in the bedroom but when they’re submissive 100% of the time even in the regular storyline, I find that a little hard to stomach, but that’s just me personally, but the author was still great and the narrators are outstanding. It’s just not my particular cup of tea for a storyline.

Narration was better than the story

Not often do you get a book where the narration is way better than the story. But in this one you do. Both male and female narrators were amazing. Male narrators accent was chef’s kiss. The story was eh. Not fully developed and very heavy handed with the “little girl” “daddy” pet names.

We’re supposed to believe the abused woman likes being beaten as long as it’s someone else doing it.

This could have been really good but I couldn’t even finish it. She tells dude she’s been abused and beaten by her husband and the first thing he did was beat her with his belt as punishment for not telling him sooner. And she was just like “I need this. I deserve this.” And the audience is supposed to think it’s hot just because he’s supposed to be “daddy”?? No. And the female narrator sounded like she was trying not to laugh every time she said daddy. The male narrator did a pretty good job on his very short chapters but it was mostly from her pov. I was hoping for a spicy but comforting story where the abused woman gets to experience healthy love but instead they’re trying to warp bdsm into something it’s not.

Cringy

The story was ok but overall I found it cringy. He called her little girl and she called him daddy.
