Sexy and seductive

The story line was great. Just enough to keep me wanting keep reading. While I found some things a bit awkward, it was only enough to peak my interest without being intrusive.

Could Not Finish

Everything was going good until she broke her shell and started calling him Daddy. It's as if she knew no other words. I was so tired of hearing Daddy and Little Girl that I couldn't focus on the story anymore. I really wanted to finish but the amount of see they were having it was hard to avoid it. Shame though because I think the story line was pretty interesting But the other stuff was distracting.

Daddy Trope

I never knew how much I hated the daddy trope until now 😭 I enjoyed the story, but it was soooo cringey!

Omg like really?

The use of “little girl” is killing me. It’s so belittling and unnecessary. I seen some people had an issue with the usage of “daddy”. For me it was, “little girl” like ugh. Could’ve been better. If it’s not free don’t waste your time. I should also point out that this is the first time I’ve listened to anything from this author. However, I’m trying to understand, like the kink. I understand spankings and foreplay. But when she got the belt for lying it seemed like abuse to me… a woman that has experienced abuse from her husband, that doesn’t seem to much better lbvvvs

Love the Irish mafia

This is a dark romance with some sweet moments sprinkled in. A fantasy for the damsel in distress.

The narrators were perfect for the story

I love how the story began with Leah's decision to create a better life for her and her daughter and how determined she was to make good on her decision. I love hiw the story dealt with all of the new experiences that she was experiencing and hiw her mind was processing it. The narration from Michelle Sparks definitely had me feeling some kind of way!

Spicy and fun

Very spicy, fun little/big relationship. Triggers for past domestic abuse and mention of grape

Warning- your blood pressure may spike during certain chapters, but in the best most delicious way. ;)

Never heard the word ‘daddy’ being said so much

Performance was good, my issue is with the story- characters started off good but then the development kind of disappeared. She said ‘daddy’ WAY too much and the story didn’t really go anywhere. Very boring.

We’re supposed to believe the abused woman likes being beaten as long as it’s someone else doing it.

This could have been really good but I couldn’t even finish it. She tells dude she’s been abused and beaten by her husband and the first thing he did was beat her with his belt as punishment for not telling him sooner. And she was just like “I need this. I deserve this.” And the audience is supposed to think it’s hot just because he’s supposed to be “daddy”?? No. And the female narrator sounded like she was trying not to laugh every time she said daddy. The male narrator did a pretty good job on his very short chapters but it was mostly from her pov. I was hoping for a spicy but comforting story where the abused woman gets to experience healthy love but instead they’re trying to warp bdsm into something it’s not.
