Good story, mediocre narration.

It is a good story, despite the many predictable plot points, but sounds like a 2nd rate A.I. narrator.

A cliff hanger…

Invested the time. Wanted a full story. Didn’t get an ending. Up to you if you like to wait for the next book for and ending of the first book.

Suspenseful

I was truly involved in the story and did not want it to end. Can’t wait for Book 2 an audiobook.

Vulgar & profane

So much foul language to detract from the underlying plot & characters—bait and switch style! It starts out fairly decent and gradually gets more corrupted.

Lazily written and performed

This is a run of the mill “thriller” re-hash of the Manchurian Candidate written sloppily and lazily. The descriptions are decent. The dialogue is juvenile at best. Seems like a high school project. And the reader could not be less talented nor interested in giving a performance. No differentiation of character voicing or accent. No effort whatsoever. I give it two stars for the fairly gripping and descriptive action sequences that, unfortunately, are interrupted by the inane dialogue. Making sure I avoid both the author and the reader in the future. Yeah, I realize it was included in my membership. But still. Come on Audible! You must do better.
