Romance isn't usually my preferred genre, and I didn't love the cover (until after I listened). I listened to this book solely because of who wrote and narrated it, in spite of not being a huge fan of My Oxford Year.
This was the BEST book I have listened to in a while, and the BEST romance in I can't remember how long (years I'm sure) !! I have been an audio book listener for at least 20 years, so that perspective in this book made it so extra interesting to me.
And although I am very familiar with the author's work as a narrator, I still have a hard time wrapping my brain around the fact that this book was only narrated by one person...absolutely outstanding!
I loved everything about it, texted everyone I knew would appreciate listening, and even hung on every word of the author's note at the end.
The only, and I do mean ONLY thing I would change about it is the fact that it's over.

What an interesting book!

What a talented actor you are! Your performance narrations are impeccable, and “thank you for listening” is a gem. I became acquainted with your performance narratives starting with “Gone Girl.”
When I saw your books advertised in audible, I had to check them out. Both are fabulous. I wish you all the success. Thank you for a couple of really enjoyable listens.

I shouldn't be surprised that the queen of audiobook narrators wrote such a heartwarming, edge-of-my-seat, intensely fun love story.

I really enjoyed this story, it was romantic but in a funny entertaining way. it is so hard to actually find humor in story's. I recommend!
