Vulcan Rising is the first book in The Zauberi Chronicles series. It is a work of contemporary/dark fantasy where Stephen King's The Institute meets Brandon Sanderson's Steelheart.

His compelling characters--notable his strong female protagonist Agatha--draw you in and won't let you go. With lots of action, vivid description, and dialogue that jumps from the page. this novel is a sure to please everyone who enjoys the genre. I'm starting on the next book in the series now.
