Who knew running for your life and getting stabbed to death could be so...good?

As Thomas' life ends, the gods of another world swoop in and grab his soul. What they needed was a champion with the courage and strength to fight against the rising chaos in their world of Eternis. What they got was a college math student who spent more time gaming than he does studying. When they throw him into a new world, in a new body, at least they give him a familiar gaming interface. Or, it would have been familiar, if he hadn’t lost his memories from the trauma of his death.

Can he sort himself out and rise to the occasion without losing himself to the violence and duplicity that plagues the world of Eternis? Even the gods don’t know.

I’ll do my best not to spoil anything, but the last couple of chapters crushed any reason I might have to continue this series. The neat thing about books is that they can be more ideal than real life. So when a book takes a dark turn and irreversible tragedy happens, I lose all interest in the book. This book makes me crestfallen because it was so close to being a five star book for me. Now I’m just sad.

The ending Killed it

This was okay but a little lacking on the character interaction. There was supposed to be a strong emotional connection forming between the main character in the archer and she showed interest in him but you just just didn’t feel it. The whole thing came across like somebody was following a check list. It was more time spent on describing the magical system then on building the characters relationships. It is worth getting the next book and seeing how it goes from there.

Ok but bad ending.

I dont know why there is a wolf on the cover but there are no wolfs at all in the story. The summary was very vague maybe not to spoil the story but it was not a good summary of the book imo. I liked most of the book but the ending ruined it for me so I dont think I will get the next book. The narrator did a great job first narration ive heard from him but it was a great job.

Missleading cover

It is pretty good it’s not a Defiance of the Fall or He Who Fights With Monsters but it is a decent story executed very good. Also the narration is awesome.

It’s good
