From the award-winning author of Claw comes a new horror novelette for you to enjoy, set back in a time when the west was wild, a man was still a man, and Lawless, BC was just plain lawless!

In this tale, you will meet Mr. Caleb Cantrill, a gentleman who has found something very interesting in the ground, and though he doesn't know it yet, he is about to have a very, very bad day.

Set in the wilds of the Cascade mountains of Western Canada in 1895, this introductory tale from Claw: Emergence is the first in a series which will form a rich tapestry of discovery, betrayal, and insatiable hunger, all delivered with small-town Canadian flair.

If you enjoy this story, please make sure to check out Claw for more present-day thrills and chills also set in the rugged interior of Western Canada.

Loved this Novella to the Claw series! Genius and very creative writing on giving prequel insight to decades before the Claw series. It left me with so much inquisitiveness about what will happen after the Novellas between then and the beginning of Claw. I very much liked the characters, their introduction and backgrounds; not too much, but just enough to feel relatable and empathetic to. The Caleb Cantrell Novella crossover into Kitty Welch was genius! Etremely well written, great story line, characters, plot, etc. Absolutely couldn't put them down! I loved them. I definitely reccomend reading the two Claw Emergence Novellas: Caleb Cantrell first, then Kitty Welch, before the Claw series. It gives an intriguing, anticipating introduction and insight for the Claw and Claw Emergence

If you haven't read Claw Emergence: Caleb Cantrell, Claw Emergence: Kitty Welch, and Claw: A Canadian Thriller; I highly recommend you do. They are fantastic!

Also, waiting with excitement and anticipation for Claw series book 2, Claw Emergence!

In my opinion, the Claw Emergence Novellas and the Claw series would make and awesome and fantastic Netflix Series!! Here's hoping Netflix does!

A must read! A great novella to the Claw series!

DO NOT BUY THIS AND THE OTHER NOVELETTE!!! Just get the two books that are 8 hours long or so reading time. The Caleb and Kitty stories are retold exactly the same in the third book which is annoying because I wasted my money on something that should have been free or at least different…. Other than that they are good but short cliffhanger books.

Love the story BUT!!!

The writing was really good in this book. It is set up concisely and moves right into the plot in a very natural way. The characters are interesting and it holds the beginnings of an interesting world. Great narration. It definitely helped me enjoy the book even more.
