the narrator drove me nuts

Loved the story, but the narrator needs to look up word pronunciations before doing a job. It's mega la daan or mega la don, not mega low den. ugh!!!

Good imagination

Good book. But narrator needs to learn the pronunciation of quite a few words especially the word megalodon! Nice voice.

Great concept

The narrator left something to be desired. There was not a lot of variance in his voices (apart from accents) and there was very little change in his pace.

As seems to be trending with books of this sort, it starts with an interesting prologue that turns into 10 hours of getting to the point.

Unfortunately, in this one I can't help wondering what the point of the first half of the book was.

This is one of those books that things seem really interesting and I'm wondering just where in the hell the story is going to go... and then something happens that changes everything. Except, it has nothing to do with the story so far and would have happened even if the first half of the book hadn't happened.

So why bother with the first half?

Yes, I finished the book. And no, it didn't really improve.

Do yourself a favor and read Steve Alten's Meg instead.

good book but...

this is a really good book it has great suspense the story develops the characters pretty well it's a good listen. The only thing that I would definitely change and really didn't like at all what is the narrator's terrible pronunciation of megalodon. I cannot believe this man does not know how to pronounce this word. it does lesson in the story a little bit to hear him mispronounce the shark's name.

Exciting Story

I would have rated this title 5 stars if only the narrator would have properly spoken “megalodon”. I recommend you read the second novel in this series “The Abyss”.

Excellent book!!!

Loved it! Love Sean Mangan! Great book. If I had to absolutely criticize something, I feel like the two parts of the book didn’t meld together well. I felt like I was listening to a different book at that point. Not saying I didn’t enjoy it immensely. Can’t wait to start book 2 tomorrow. Thank you Greg Beck.

Big shark novel

I wasnt sure about this book. I like Steve Aliens Meg series, but he keeps writing the same type of characters as well as mostly useless female characters who are always ready for sex. This book had none of that. Chuck full of interesting and fully developed characters. Its a far better novel than the first and last Meg book. I very much enjoyed this monster book. It hit all the marks I like.

Great Listen

Mega-loadin or Megladon whichever you want to enunciate the word isn't a factor -- this book is great! Edge of my seat the whole time!!!

Good story however Narrator mispronounces words.

Narrator needs to learn names. it's Lazyness. nobody says it like he does. it's wrong.

Mega - loadin

“Mega - loadin” sounds like someone towing part of their double wide trailer down the road, not a prehistoric shark. Who knows, maybe the rest of the plant has been saying it wrong and this guy is right, either way, it does disservice to this book.
