Sorry, this was really bad.

I couldn’t stand much of the dialogue such as “Aye aye, Captain Taylor, heh.” How many time do we need to know everyone’s weapons are magnetically connected to outfits. The narration is incredibly goofy. I stopped this, listened to others, and came back to it several times, but tonight I had to just give up. There is too many fantastic Audible books for me to waste time on this.

Surprised me!

This book is an interesting take on the whole humans have a war with aliens premise. Although it clearly sets up a universe for a whole series of novels, it is a full an complete story with an ‘snd I’m going off on an adventure’ style of ending. Satisfying end yo the current story while leaving it open to more.

There is a lot of character growth in this book too. It helps us get to know the main protagonist as we see his cathartic evolution first hand.

Overall, a shorter novel, but a good one. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Very Good Beginnings to Space Opera

This is the 1st book in a new SiFi Space Story and it is one Heck of a Start. Never listened/read this author before but will now! Can not wait to get into book 2. Narrator did a good job on this story. Characters are quite interesting and as the story progresses become more interesting.
