  • The Rock Lake Pyramids (Wisconsin)
    Nov 7 2026

For nearly a century, the people of Lake Mills, Wisconsin, have told stories about ancient stone pyramids hidden beneath the murky waters of Rock Lake. Some believe they were built by a lost civilization. Others have connected them to the Aztecs, Atlantis, and mysterious visitors from across the ocean.

In 1937, pioneering deep-sea diver Max Gene Nohl claimed to have found one. He described a massive stone structure rising nearly thirty feet from the lakebed, its smooth surfaces seemingly held together by mortar. But despite decades of expeditions, sonar surveys, and underwater investigations, nobody has been able to confirm his discovery.

Tonight, we explore the mystery of the Rock Lake pyramids, the remarkable history behind the legend, and how a small Wisconsin town became the center of an archaeological controversy that refuses to disappear.

  • The Peshtigo Fire (Wisconsin)
    Nov 6 2026

On October 8, 1871, a wall of fire swept through northeastern Wisconsin, destroying the town of Peshtigo and killing an estimated 1,200 to 2,500 people across the region. It remains the deadliest wildfire in American history, yet its story was largely overshadowed by the Great Chicago Fire, which erupted the very same night.

Survivors described tornadoes of flame, mysterious explosions, and victims whose bodies showed no burns despite the melted metal found in their pockets. In the years that followed, stories emerged of demonic figures, miraculous escapes, ghostly apparitions, and even a theory that the destruction had come from outer space.

Tonight, we explore the Peshtigo Fire, the horrifying accounts of those who survived, and the strange legends that grew from one of the most devastating nights in American history.

  • The Ghost of Sherwood Point Lighthouse (Wisconsin)
    Nov 5 2026

On a lonely bluff overlooking the waters of Green Bay, Wisconsin, stands Sherwood Point Lighthouse, a historic red-brick station with a reputation for unusual activity. Visitors report footsteps on empty staircases, mysterious laughter, dishes washed overnight, and beds made by unseen hands.

Many believe the activity belongs to Minnie Cochems, a lighthouse keeper who arrived for a summer visit in 1884 and spent the next forty-four years at Sherwood Point. Even her sudden death inside the lighthouse, the stories suggest, couldn't persuade her to leave.

In 2008, a team of paranormal investigators spent a weekend inside the building, where an upstairs bedroom became the scene of their most unsettling experience.

Tonight, we explore the history and hauntings of Sherwood Point Lighthouse, the woman who dedicated her life to keeping its light burning, and the mystery of a ghost who may still be looking after the place she called home.

I started listening to this podcast and after listening to five of them I am hooked. Chris makes it enjoyable to listen to. The other thing I love that he is very "human" and isn't making you feel like you should love his podcasts.
Keep up the great work!!!!!

I found this podcast through one of my others, Hometown Ghost Stories. Enjoyed Chris' visit on that show and jumped over. His ability to narrate is fantastic, smooth, and very normal guy talking about something he enjoys. I have also included The Nightmare Collective, but I have only as yet listened to the stories Chris has posted here. I haven't gotten through too many yet, but look forward to continuing. Thanks Chris for another excellent find!

Great stories performed beautifully.
Can’t get enough. Christopher’s narration brings suspense and humor. I’d love to hear him narrate a Stephen King novel.

Need more!!
