The explanation focused on the passages of the bible are informative and interesting. the introduction of each podcast with a little story connecting our world with the topic of the day is ok, but I am the kind of person who wants to get into the meat of the passage. I can relate it to a modern story on my own. Also, I disagree with the podcaster that this series is also for people who is giving their first crack at it, just because although the explanations are interesting, it is so slow moving it gets tedious after a while. If this is your first crack at it, I would first read the gospel and then maybe listen to this series.

tmbh gives you time to really digest the Bible and the verses. I'm learning a thing n about the cultural context which makes it so mucgore meaningful. never done in a preachy fashion but just a deep conversation with quirky personal stories that you can really connect with.

I don't listen to a lot of podcasts. Most of the ones I do are incredibly niche and related to my specific hobbies. The one podcast that I recommend to anyone and everyone I can is the TMBH podcast. I had such mixed feelings when I finally caught up on binging through 500 episodes of the TMBH podcast and have had to listen to them one day at a time for the past few months. It's an amazing, 10/10 podcast, I just really enjoyed binging the heck out of it and always having another one to listen to! I definitely recommend it to everyone; it is the perfect mix of history, theology, pop culture, and philosophy for me.

I reviewed one of the episodes but thought it might fit better here so here it is,
Matt is an absolute legend. I've listened to every episode. I love it so much and I couldn't recommend it enough. Matt goes into a deep dive into the book of Mathew and typically spends 2-3 days on a passage from the text. No worries, you can jump in anywhere and you'll learn something. It's not just about learning, after listening to every episode each day I feel like I know Matt personally and that everyday on my way to work we just have a conversation the two of us. I've had some experience in performing arts and I can tell you that's hard to accomplish. This podcast helps shape and mold people into better humans.. Matt never pushes his views onto you and welcomes every expression of thought. In my experience I thought I was dead right about something or someone but he helped me see a different perspective. I truly believe I have the book of Mathew in my hip pocket. Once again thanks Matt for creating a space where we can do internet like this and this podcast will help you not just understand the book of Mathew but God, morality and life. It did that for me anyways. Give it a listen
