When the love of his life goes missing, he'll risk everything to find her.
After Earl’s bride vanishes in the Smoky Mountains on their honeymoon, the former navy SEAL is certain she’s been abducted. Worse, a storm has washed away any potential evidence, and with nothing to go on, the park rangers call off the official search. Then another woman disappears in the same area. Can one last lead help Earl find Morgan before he loses her forever?

Panic Point

The story is intense, action-packed, tender, and playful at times. Fast-paced, with interesting characters.
I have both the kindle and the audiobook of Panic Point and was concerned that the narration might not capture the emotion (I'm picky) but I was thrilled with the narration of the audiobook.
Great story! Highly recommend!

This is the prequel to the Pepperman mystery series. Jim, is seventeen years old and suddenly charged with assuming the father figure for his two younger sisters when their father dies in a tragic accident. It becomes necessary to leave his home in Texas to return to the childhood home of his family in New Jersey. He misses his father immensely and his monophonic need for his father’s influence in making the right decisions leads him down a path of identifying and accepting responsibilities at an early age.
The author uses an abundance of colorful, colloquial expressions that accentuate his point. He has done a great job of describing scenes and circumstances drawing from personal experience or painstaking research of the subject. His unique style and imagination create intrigue throughout the story and entices the reader to “read one more short chapter.”
This is a fast moving, easy read with several alluring twists and turns that come together for a delightful conclusion and sets the stage for the next of the “Pepperman Mysteries”.

Good Narration

I liked the plot and the premise. It got a big over the top once or twice, but those times increased the pace and the action.
The most memorable part though was the characters’ frustration and helplessness in the face of “the system”. Chilling.
Overall, a solid listen — but not just before a camping trip.
