Great story

This book turned out to be amazing not only did the story grab my interest right from the start but it held it right to the end. TJ Richards was awesome she was spot on with the narration

Fantastic!

Finally a book that kept my attention and marvelously read! This one put all of my favorite things in one great read: a mystery, a love story and a psychological thriller!

Hang on for a ride.

I was given a copy of this audible book free for an honest review. Wow, the angst. Dani is guilt ridden and driven to find the truth at the cost of all other things in her life. Written by Barbara Winkes, the theme terrified me at the thought of it being real. It's all about control and the great lengths that those who want it, will go to attain it. The narration is very well done. Hats off to TJ Richards for bringing it to life.

This Book Made Me Angry

This book is well written and suspenseful. The narration is spectacular. Without giving too much away, suffice it to say that this book could be triggering for anyone who experienced being a female in a fundamentalist cult.

It’s a thinker

Excellent story that makes you think about moments you wish you could go back and change. Excellent narration. It’s a captivating listen. It’s told from the perspective of two different characters which are easy to differentiate. Will definitely listen again

My head is spinning

This is one amazing book. The pace was rapid. The dialog intense. Ms. Winkes told this story from the viewpoint of 2 women, jumping back and forth in time. She managed to pull me in immediately and keep me turning pages.

Such a nefarious prospect. The evils of the antagonists in this story are truly horrifying. It seems so real and possible. So timely to our current political climate.

The protagnists are admirable. I wanted to be Dani, trying to rescue Paige. Just enough detail.

A wonderful book. I can't wait to get my hands on more of Ms. Winkes books.

Ms. Richards provides a unique voice for each character.


I read this book with a free code from the author. I enjoyed being able to switch back and forth from the audiobook to the Kindle Unlimited book.

A really good audiobook!

I love this author's style of writing; she engages me from the beginning with this audiobook... I truly found it hard to stop listening to it at times. TJ Richards does this book justice and Barbara Winkes manages to always put together great characters and plots that are always well-developed. She doesn’t disappoint! If your a fan of this author and like a suspense with plenty of twist and or just haven’t given this book a try... then I highly recommend that you do... 5⭐️

This thought gave me CHILLS

In a thought of world were this could possibly have happened I was scared and terrified of the icky feelings it gave me. To have the characters go through trials and trubliations.

love conquers all tale

phenomenal truly. read it /listen to it. anything all of them. it is a moving book that will keep you on edge to hear the conclusion.
