Universal War is about to become a reality....

Christopher Spellcrafter is a 13-year-old boy on Earth in the year 3025. After losing his parents at age 11, and the subsequent disappearance of his older sister, Chris has been all alone. He has been vigilantly searching for her ever since she vanished, conducting his own investigation into her disappearance. Little does he know, he is about to be dragged into a universal-scale conflict of Wizards in the Alliance of the Light versus Sorcerers in the Empire of the Dark.

Chris must learn to fight if he hopes to survive and reunite with his sister. Luckily, with the help of new allies, this will be much easier...especially with the assistance of Pennelopie Dreadful.

Narration: There is a diversity of voices out there which sounded a little strange and sometimes flat. However, at times the narrator was able to convey strong emotions well like during the sad parts. There’s many accents which is good to distinguish the characters but personally to me it was a bit iffy to listen to. However, the narration shouldn’t shy you away from the story.

Story: Started off really symbolic before progressing into the coming-of-age story the series heads towards. A lot of the characters are pretty strong and I’m curious how they’ll develop throughout the saga. The battles they had were really cool, including aviation, and a nice amount of humor was woven into this despite the hardships the characters are currently facing.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy, sci-fi, and war with romance sprinkled into it. If you like series such as Star Wars, then this would be right up your alley.
