the journey was a delight.

this variation of Pride and Prejudice was a wonderful the light to sit and listen to.

This is a wonderful PP variation written from Elizabeth's POV. I'm going to put this book on top of my favorites list.

A journey interrupted... Adventure, love and misunderstandings

Review of The Journey by Jan Hahn

A journey to London is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of highwaymen, who overtakes the Bingley coach. Darcy and Elizabeth are taken as hostages, and taken to a cabin in the woods. One of the highwaymen Mr. Morgan, takes an avid interest in Darcy and Elizabeth during their hostage-situation and release.

After the adventures in the woods, Darcy and Elizabeth returns to town, where much drama ensues, many misunderstandings and all the whole feelings are growing, changing and maturing alongside Darcy and Elizabeth as they weather scandal, disgrace and the trials of the highwaymen.

Finally during the celebratory betrothal dinner of Jane and Bingley, Elizabeth makes her way to Darcy to set the record straight after yet another misunderstanding. This sets the course of happiness for the beloved couple of Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.

The voice of Leena, makes Elizabeth and Darcy very sensitive, maybe even vulnerable, but mostly to each other throughout the story.

Diffrent. But a good diffrent.

This was a pleasure to listen too overall. The plot worked well with our beloved Pride And Prejudice characters, putting Darcy and Lizzy into a new circumstance never seen before. Along with the romance, there was action, chaos, and adventure. There was even a new man thrown in there to duel for Elizabeth's affections.

The narrator did a good job overall. Making sure not to muddle together words like others I have listened too.

All in all it was a diffrent twist then what is normally seen in Pride And Prejudice variations. Well done.

Great book, very well written!!

Thus book kept me captive from the beginning. There was only one part that I thought was drawn out....There were a few parts that I felt this version of E was pretty stupid and unreasonable and fir that period of time she, being a "witty" woman should have done things different but I do understand the reason the Arthur had to make E appear stupid. All in all very nicely done. I'm not sure if I could listen to this version over and over but I do fell it is a version you need to listen/ read.

Excellent book and excellent narration by Leena Emsley. Love that Jan Hahn has made the audiobook of this favourite available. Highly recommend.

Excellent

The story is very well written with Darcy and Elizabeth being forced to spend time together. The narrator did an excellent job. I love her Darcy voice. Each charaacters' voice is unique.

Narration hard to listen to

The story was great. Kudos to the author The shame was it was the whiney voices of E!izabeth and Darcy. She was always heard as on the verge of tears. I love this author's work so much that I persevered and listened to the end. However I will not purchase another audible performed by this narrator. Hindsight now tells me I should have returned the audible and then enjoyed the printrd version. The story will not disappoint.
