As the Hollisters explore their new town and make friends, they discover what happened to the moving van and learn more about the mystery surrounding their new home. Excitement abounds when a secret stairway is discovered. Then, on the trail of a mysterious intruder, their chase leads them to a deserted hut on nearby Blackberry Island.

Perfect first mysteries for my 6 year old.

We own a few of the books and always love to have the audio book so when we discovered The Happy Hollisters on audible everyone was excited! Growing up I enjoyed Nancy Drew but those are a bit above my kids for now so this series is the perfect intro to mysteries. I love the relationships between the siblings and their parents. They are interesting, down to earth, old fashioned stories and we love them!

An All-Time Favorite!

I grew up on children's mystery series: The Three Investigators, Nancy Drew, and The Hardy Boys to name a few, but The Happy Hollisters is my favorite! I've been re-reading them as they've been released in ebook, and love the memories the books bring back.

The BEST mystery series for kids!

My oldest daughter (8) absolutely LOVES all of the Happy Hollister books and only has a few left to finish the entire series. These books really set her off in her love of reading, so I am ever so grateful! We have loved listening to this first book on audio as a whole family and my youngest daughter (4) especially loves it and has listened by herself to the whole thing a few times! I am so grateful for this series and love that there is an audio option for the first and can't wait for more!!

Narrator makes the experience.

Sarah Breidenbach is the perfect narrator to bring this story to life. Her voice is lovely and easy to listen to. The story itself is enjoyable. A perfectly harmless and fun read for kids!

A vintage snapshot

I enjoyed revisiting this series, it really was a snapshot into another time. A few words are somewhat outdated, like “keen”, but for the most part, would be a great story for kids to listen to today.

Excited about these audiobooks

We love these stories and were excited to find them on audible. The Happy Hollisters offer family adventures with plenty of mystery. My family has been enjoyjng these stories for years, but the youngest just listened to her first one through the audiobook and is asking for the next.

We LOVE the Happy Hollisters!!

My family adores the Happy Hollisters series, and we were thrilled to learn of an audio of it! My kids' only complaint was that it wasn't read with "voices." :) However, the narrator speaks clearly and well, so I take that "complaint" with a grain of salt. You can bet that this audio will be a great addition to our beloved audio collection, as well as a travel companion in the car. Thank you, Happy Hollisters team, for coordinating another way for our family to love - and share - these classic books that I consider an "essential" in our home library. I can't wait to help my kids and godchildren build their own libraries of these books for when they have their own families.

This series developed my love of reading when I was seven. Now at 59 I'm passing this on by having my grandchildren who are now learning to read to follow the recording with the newly re-released books in paperback. All three of us are enjoying each others company.

My kids loved this (6 & 8). The narrator is very pleasant. The Happy Hollisters are a great old classic series that teach lots of things (educational/academic plus positive behavior) without seeming to.
