Melissa Foster’s Cape Cod series, Bayside Summers Book 1 Bayside Desires doesn’t disappoint!

I’ve both read the book and listened to the audiobook expertly narrated by B.J. Harrison.

Half sisters Desiree and Violet are summoned to the Cape by their flighty mother Lizza, who was not above using manipulation to get her way. No sooner had they arrived under false pretenses than their mother leaves for another adventure making them responsible for the mortgage on the family house that they both hold dear.

They could leave the Cape, lose the house or work together to save the property and maybe, just maybe, forge a kinship with each other that's always been missing. Throw in Cosmos, the pool loving dog and uber sexy neighbor Rick Savage and get ready for a summer romance!

But is that all it will be when the summer ends? I love the way Rick couldn't take his eyes off Desiree from the very first minute he spotted her, couldn't let he get away without meeting her. It was sweet, romantic and had you cheering for them from the get-go! They felt fated to be together. Their chemistry was hot!

It was easy to identify with Desiree, who was easily shocked and considered a prude by her badass sister Violet, who is tough and sweet, and who has her own issues to deal with and seems like a polar opposite to Desiree. It was an eye opener for both women who thought the other had the better life and each missed out on so much of each other growing up separated due to the choices their mother made.

Rick has his own demons to deal with and it's easy to feel for all he's been through and the reasons why he's moved away from family and the Cape. He was so torn up by past tragedy and then faced leaving and going back to his "real life" and workaholic existence.

Like all of Melissa's books there are wonderful supporting characters: family and friends that you can't wait to read their HEAs! I loved Cosmos and the way he brought Desiree and Rick together. I loved the woman on the dock that gave Rick advice at a time he really needed it. I loved the way the sisters worked together and learned so much from each other (Violet teaching Desiree about sex toys!!!), the girls rediscovering their creative talents and encouraging each other.

There's so much love, tenderness, romance and heat, all set on beautiful Cape Cod! This is a must listen to!

Great Listen

In Bayside Desires, we get to meet Rick Savage and Desiree Cleary. I had the enjoyment of listening to the audiobook. B.J. Harrison was the narrator and like always, he does a great job with the voices. Rick owns a resort with his brother and friend. Desiree is a preschool teacher. Desiree receives an email from her mother summoning her to the Cape making it seem she is very ill. But when she gets to the Cape its a whole other story.
From the first time Rick and Desiree meet when Rick accidently drenches Desiree in water to their first date which is a whole other surprise, their chemistry has been amazing.
They have such a great connection. They are sweet and loving. I could not stop listening and picturing it in my head and smiling. Their story was perfect. I loved it.

Hot & Sexy audiobook

Rick and Desiree meet in a very unique way. That introduction sets the stage for this hot, funny and heartwarming romance from Melissa Foster. The narration of B. J. Harrison drew me in from the beginning. The characters were quite interesting as both sisters, Violet and Desiree, seemed to shed some of their hang ups. It really is a sexual awakening for Desiree and a healing of sorts for both Rick and Desiree. I loved how they came together and B. J. Harrison reading Melissa Foster’s words was the perfect combination. Can’t wait for more Bayside audio books.

Walking on the sunshine has never felt so good.

Kleenex is a must. Smiles are abundant and heart tingles are a given.  Foster and Harrison team up to add a ton of heat to the summer by adding a little holiday to the heart. Rick and Desiree take love thy neighbor in a surprising direction. Home, heart and family add some dramatic twists as they make their presence known. Yet they do not take away that warm, welcoming feeling. Walking on the sunshine has never felt so good.

This is the first book in the Bayside Summers Series, a small town romance. Rick and Desiree's story is so sweet, funny, passionate, and heartwarming. This is a great start to the series. Good narration from B.J. Harrison.
