Caderyn is the sexiest - and perhaps craziest - man Bridget has ever laid eyes on. He may have rescued her from death, but who's going to rescue her from him? With all the right moves, the man is a walking seduction that's too hard to resist. Sparks fly. Desires heat. But there's one small problem. He claims they're trapped in the lost city of Atlantes, living on a cursed island deep within the ocean.

What can I say. The woman was annoying. She is supposed to be a scientist but behaved like an idiot. A bit more character development would be nice. More story instead of just filling the book with sex scenes.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would . Why? Majority of my friends love paranormal and hot romance.

What other book might you compare The Mighty Hunter to and why?

I have only read one other series with merman. And it was nothing like this one.

Have you listened to any of Rebecca Cook’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes. Rebecca does a fantastic job of narrating.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I tried but it's a little long. But it is so good

Any additional comments?

I was gifted this audible for my honest review.

Bridget just wants to study the ocean. Then the boat she is on gets destroyed. When she is rescued by Caderyn, she never thought she would fall in love with a Mer-man.
I really liked this book and am looking forward to the next one in the series. Rebecca Cook did an awesome job narrating this.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is the first book in the Lords of the Abyss series. It has a creative storyline with characters, most of them, that are easy to like. Bridget is an independent young woman, a scientist, and needs a purpose. Caderyn is a little bit in love with Bridget from the start, and tries to be patient and understanding. Watching their relationship grow is a treat. This story has plenty of action, a bit of danger, steamy romance, some laughs, and an unexpected and happy ending. Rebecca Cook’s did a great job narrating the story. I received this book via BookSprout and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Caderyn and Bridget

I was a little nervous about this book because some other reviews say the heroine is a bit whiney, but I gave it a shot anyway. I have to say that I agree, the heroine can be whiney, doesn't accept her situation, and even when she *says* she does, really she doesn't. All that said, I continued on with the story because despite the heroine being a little impulsive and making some really stupid decisions, the rest of the story was alright. Michelle Pillow excels at her love scenes and heroes being super sexy men. There is no question that this book is intended for mature audiences only, because, wow, just wow. The hero unfortunately conforms to some of the typical devices employed for "fish out of water" stories (yes, pun intended heh). He doesn't tell the heroine what is going to happen to her, doesn't communicate with her, and doesn't really explain much of the dynamics of where they are. I have seen this in alien races, paranormal shifter books and now, mermen books. I gave this book a 3 star overall review, but I'd really like it to be a 3.5. The narrator Rebecca Cook was very good, even though she sounds a bit like Allison Janney at times.

Sexy mermen and whiney women - possible spoilers
