Paizo Publishing is the award-winning publisher of fantasy role-playing games, accessories, and board games. Pathfinder Tales: Pirate's Prophecy is the continuation of their popular series.

Captain Torius Vin and the crew of the Stargazer have given up the pirate life, instead becoming abolitionist privateers bent on capturing slave ships and setting their prisoners free. But when rumors surface of a new secret weapon in devil-ruled Cheliax, are the Stargazers willing to go up against a navy backed by hell itself?

it took me a bit to get used to the new narrator. it is not that this was worse or better than the narrator for the previous books. Changing from American accents to all British accents was a challenge. I had gotten used to recognizing each character by their original portrayal, so it took me a few chapters to identify the new voices.

That said, the performance was good. the narrator differentiated between each character well.

The story was well done. I love the immersion in the world of Golarion. addition insights to the nations and intrigues therein. There were a few surprising twists and solid development for the primary personalities.

good story once you get past the new voice

Great wrap up to the Stargazers! Different narrator was a bit of a bummer from first two books.

fine narrator, but different from book 1 & 2

It's a nice finale for the previous two books in the series and largely able to stand on it's own aside from that. There is a new narrator from the previous two books, which I initially disliked, but eventually appreciated how Steve West brings his own talents and I'd listen to him read a book again. The sea battles were a great time and all the good stuff about the characters and crew was back in full swing. I haven't yet been able to try Pathfinder in a tabletop setting but based on time in D&D it felt like the magic had all the rules and limitations the tabletop game would. Although characters, creatures, and magic were challenging nothing felt unreasonably overpowered. It's nothing especially deep story wise but it's a genuine easy fun listen and not superficial or dumb.

satisfying pirate book

The narrator made this book so exciting!! I liked the guy who narrated the first two books also, but this guy was even better! I found myself, laughing and crying! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Loved the narrator!

this one by far was the best out of all three from the pirate Saga. there's a new performer he does a great job making the characters come alive

The best of the three
