Provocative and very interesting....

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! I was raised Roman Catholic, however over the last decade or so, I have found myself at odds with their teachings. The relationship between Mary Magdalene and Jesus continues to intrigue me and how the early Christian Church developed and defined itself is so thoroughly examined by the author.

Wonderful and Brave!

The pairing of history and numerous spiritual texts was very interesting and probably the most significant contribution of the authors.
The Vatican and its cronies will indeed loathe this publication, but considering their pedophilic habits, unnatural behaviors toward family life as well as their hardly concealed corruption, any retort they have to such a careful consideration of multiple types of evidence, fact checking and display of Christian theology/history is absolutely mute.
The only truly difficult idea for me in this book would be the suggestion that Yeshua’s teachings involve having multiple sexual partners and orgies. This did not resonate. However, the Vatican and some of the leadership of Protestants should identify readily with this specific part as they regularly hide and ignore hedonistic sexual behaviors of their clergy. Thus, maybe they have read the true teachings of sacred spirituality? Otherwise they are as much spiritual idiots as Peter and Paul.
Regardless, it does a great job of presenting and analyzing the available information on Yeshua’s real life and work in today’s setting. Certainly worth a read for anyone who is academically inclined, intelligent and open minded. Thanks to the authors.

Fascinating!

This book is a continuation of Holy Blood, Holy Grail. Full of verifiable facts and dates, and explains in an undeniable way, the truth.

Brilliant!

When I was 4 years old A few ideas came to me that I remember to this day. Of Mary Magdalene ... she was not a prostitute, and 2. that she and Jesus actually married. and of Jesus.... he did not die on the cross, but was rendered unconscious. radical I know, but for years after I have been saying that the story of Jesus is not what you think.

How marvelous it is to get validation on a few things. incidentally, at 4, the only person I told about this thought I had at that moment was my grandmother, a devout Christian Scientist. she advised me to keep it to myself.

Brilliant book! a lot of work and research went into put this all together. It venerates Mary from Magdala, and puts her back in her proper place, beside Jesus as his wife, well done!

Changed my whole trajectory of following Jesus!

Truth revealed and filling in of obvious gaps of the Canonical New Testament of tradition. I knew these explanations had to be accessible to those who venture to ask the right questions. Much love and gratitude to those behind this book!

Great listen

While the narrator isn’t the greatest I’ve ever heard he does a decent job. The storyline was excellent though. Well thought out and detailed. I’ll likely listen to it again at some point. I can certainly see why it ruffled feathers but these things usually do, unfortunately.

A compelling case for a hidden history

This book and the audio rendition make a compelling case that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene and caught up in a complex web of political rivalries, plots and intrigue.

The analysis of the manuscript and correlation to other texts as well as the canonical gospels is quite detailed, as is the linkage to Roman politics and verifiable historical events.

Great composition of historical findings

This is a composition of historical findings that paints Christianity in a new light. One that embraces the human experience and the growth that comes when one makes the decision to engage. This pulls the theological focus to the life of Christ over the passion of Christ this allowing a deeper more intimate relationship with Jesus of Nazareth. Must read for all those willing to engage in a different narrative.

Intriguing find deserving of further review

I wish to compare this work with other archeological findings. Great work by the authors.
