Logan is running with the fate of the world in his hands.

Earth is free and at peace at last. But not the Earth on which Logan stands. For him a nightmare has just begun.

In the 23rd century on Parallel Earth, your 21st birthday is your Lastday. Parallel Earth is a dazzling paradise of artificial delight - of instant pleasure and infinite joy.

Here, in a terrifying computerized society controlled by ruthless police assassins, is the world that Logan once destroyed.

Now his fate is to live that horror once again.

Folks, this IS definitely entertaining as another recycled hero's journey. I am very happy to have discovered this series for the first time. I assume the Sky City was the inspiration for Cloud City in Empire Strikes Back? Which is fine You can see in this third book that several of the big ideas have been borrowed later by other writers (just as the first two.) At this point I am worn out with the multiverse stuff, but I'm sure it was great 40 years ago! I was not able to visualize much of the characters and events depicted, just as I experienced in the first two books (so that's a problem) but not enough to ruin it for me. Also I love Elijah Wood, but casting him as a female voice took me out of the narrative "suspension of disbelief". I didn't care that much in the first Logan's Run book because I felt that the writing was so superior compared to many other works, that it was easy to overlook. It was kind of charming. And thankfully there wasn't too much of that character. But by this third book? My eyes were rolling way too much. Gender swapping wokism from the acting world, I predict, are going to date this audio production fast! It's especially ironic considering the heterosexual basis of this trilogy! Overall though, I had a lot of fun with this series and that's what counts, so I definitely recommend it!

Logan's "fun"...but..

The third book was much better than the second book, but not quite as good as the first. Reminded me of a Star Trek episode.

Better than the last

For some reason, the Logan's Run series so far feels like someone is recounting the plot of a 1980's era Gamma World campaign. And I'm 100% on board with it. No it doesn't make total sense and there are plenty of "WTF?" moments but overall it's a good listen!

Feels like a TTRPG.

I had no idea what you expect and thought I wasn't going to like until Logan was convicted and the story got much better. The ending was perfect. It sowed up most of the questions I had from the previous books and left me chuckling about the unanswered ones. Spot on narration! Bravo!

Amazing ending
