Tim Curry's reading is as delightful, entertaining and haunting as those of the classic masters who proceeded him - Alastair Sim, Lionel Barrymore. I suppose there's something to be said for this wonderful story being read by an Englishman. Great idea Audible, thank you.

I got this one last year, and it's back on my player for this Christmas. In short - it's wonderful. Tim Curry is a surprisingly wonderful reader for this classic tale of redemption - he adds just the right amount of creepiness. Love it!

Something about his voice just works with Dickens. As a fan of Dickens, but someone who never read A Christmas Carol, I was very pleased with the telling. Not only is the story wonderful (of course), Tim Curry's speaking voice fits perfectly with both the characters and the phrasing.

My past experiencees with "A Christmas Carol" were watching several movies and seeing one weak musical show. I always found it to be simplistic and overwrought. So, thank you, Audible, for allowing me to discover Dickens' glorious story through this recording. Narrator Tim Curry gives 110%; he is truly excellent. This will be a cherished part of my audiobook collection for years to come.
