Cinnamon Roll!

I have read this entire series and it’s great to see Cole’s story, and for him to actually be a cinnamon roll!!! So great.

4.5stars!!

The audiobook for this was so good to listen to! Narrated in duet by Ava Lucas and Stephen Dexter. They both brought Willa and Cole to life and I devoured this audio!

While their story starts out with an unexpected Vegas wedding, I absolutely love seeing these two together. And their radical honesty policy is literally one of my favorite things about them. The way Cole continues to show up and always make Willa feel seen and respected is just so swoon-worthy!

📚ABOUT THE STORY ... To say that Axe-identally Married is my favorite Daphne Elliot Lumberjack story thus far is a complete understatement. Obviously (see above) narration had a lot to do with this but not even close to all. This storyline, for me, was outrageously kick-ass in all the glorious ways a story can be.

I fell hard for Willa & Cole almost immediately. I thought it might take me a page or two (lol) to even want happiness for Cole (he hasn’t been presented in the best light thus far in the series #understatemnt lol) but nooooooooo, I fell head over feet almost immediately and he managed to grab my heart and not let go for the entirety of the story. And Willa! OUTRAGEOUS, I tell ya! This chic had me by the throat and I became a metaphorical Dallas Cowboys cheerleader for these two. I wanted to set anyone and anything that tried to get in their way on fire! My heartstrings were pulled guys, like reeeeeally pulled and I loved every second of it!

I really love how Willa and Cole grew their almost nonexistent relationship thru all the steps people take in real life. It was so organic that I found myself truly thinking of them as real. I think the emotion that ran thru the narrative helped a lot with this because I was attached to them from the prologue and I didn’t let go. This is going to be one of those stories that I turn to time and time again in the future because it was fun and flirty and emotional and hopeful and had so much heart! *happy sigh* :)

Unexpected to Forever!

Willa and Cole! I loved them from the very beginning and even more by the end of this book. I could not get over how protective they were of each other. Cole is working through his own self-doubt after his dad and everyone else seems to think he's not worth anything. I hated hearing how that affected him, but loved that he felt like he could confide in Willa. For Willa, as a plus-sized girl, she had such low relationship expectations because of how she had always been treated and I felt so bad for her, but could identify with all of those feelings. After these two confided in each other, I could not get enough of how they worked so hard to shield each other from the world and its expectations.

The way that Willa and Cole fell for each other was so sweet and genuine and I loved it so much for both of them. I loved how Cole stepped up to be exactly what Willa needed and helped her gain more experience and confidence in the bedroom. And I also loved how Willa defended Cole and got the whole town involved to protect him towards the end. I could not stop smiling at the way this unexpected Vegas marriage turned into the perfect life for both of these characters.

As I listened to Ava Lucas and Stephen Dexter narrate this story, it made me love the characters even more. Both of them captured the deeply personal pieces and also their fierce protection of each other as they worked so hard to be exactly what the other needed. This narration was truly superb!

Hands down, my favorite from the series!! Cole Hebert, the man that you are. 😍😍

I’m trying to think of something.. anything, that I didn’t like about this audio, but I’m coming up with blanks. BECAUSE IT WAS PERFECT. 🥰 Cole and Willa wake up married after a night in Vegas at a friend’s bachelor party.. but the worst part is Cole is Willa’s best friend’s ex boyfriend!! Oops 🤭 so in order to keep up appearances they decide to stay married for a limited time. They move in and start to build a strong friendship, which I loved, and day by day they start falling for each other more and more as they get to know each other and see vulnerable parts of one another other. I loved how protective of Cole Willa was, she was always going up to bat for him and fiercely defending him when anyone would say demeaning things to him and I loved her that. I also resonated with her as a woman who has constantly struggled with my weight and how others perceive my weight. She made me see the beauty in being plus sized. Cole was literally the sweetest mmc ever!! So thoughtful and always trying to make Willa happy or show her how dedicated to her he is. What I loved the most about him is his strength in how much he loved Willa, and was always raising her up. These two were so perfect for one another and I loved listening to their story. 🥰

Ava and Stephen narrated the audio for this in duet, and I honestly have no notes. This was so much fun and these two are extremely talented voice actors. Perfect for these characters and their styles complimented each other. It was so good and I highly recommend this on audio! 🤩

OMG … this Guy… whew!
I’m so in love with his sweet burly soft loving teddy bear side. This guy deserves it all and it made me a little sad…No .. a lot sad at how he was treated while growing up and the trauma he endured.
But the saving grace was how Willa Saw it and defended him fiercely!
Loved her for that!


This Audiobook was incredibly emotional and sweet., the characters and story were well written and the narrators did an amazing job bringing it all to life!
Stephen Dexter and Ava Lucas totally sizzle as Cole and Willa.. but it’s Stephen Dexter portrayal of Cole that tugs even more at my heart as he brought out the character vulnerability and emotional side.
Perfection!

This is definitely a Must Listen!

Daphne Elliot gave me a big sweet burly lumberjack with a FMC who is fiercely protective of the big guy to love!

Their chemistry is sweet, steamy, and full of heart. Cole knits, coaches kids' hockey, and calls Willa his wifey like it's a full-time job. Willa slowly lets her guard down as their bond deepens and small-town secrets unravel.

Audio Highlights
Stephen Dexter brings Cole’s mix of protectiveness and sensitivity to life with depth and heat. Ava Lucas delivers a strong, layered performance as Willa, capturing every emotional beat. Their voices made the story immersive, emotional, and easy to fall into.
This story is warm, spicy, funny, and filled with small-town charm.

Very entertaining

The first two stories of the series were good, but this one was great. I loved it when they took a despicable character from the other stories, and presented this one from his point of view. Even though the story was far from the realm of believability, the intriguing characters, the touching romance, and the great use of humor made for an exceptional story. I’m looking forward to the next two stories in the series being available to Audible.

The performance was excellent, except when the female got too excited, and she would screech and hurt my ears. Fortunately, that didn’t happen very often.

This series is so amazing. The characters are just so fun to read/listen to. Daphnes writing style is full of witty banter, swoon worthy moments, and emotion.

I love the underlying suspense factor that plays along with each book in the series. With each one you get a little more and another piece of the puzzle. It is very captivating and entertaining. I listened to this in less than 24 hours!

Voice Actors were Perfect!

Loved it so much out of the rest. Best out of the entire series. Loved the main characters.
