Publisher's Summary

Wicca has changed Morgan’s life. She’s lost old friends, made new ones, and discovered her heritage. She also found love and betrayal.

But there’s so much more to learn. She knows Wicca can be used for good or for evil. The hard part is knowing which is which.

For now, Morgan is safe from the dark wave that has been attacking witches. Betrayed by her first love, she is trying to come to grips with her Woodbane heritage and with Wicca—its thorn and its rose.

Love, betrayal, excitement, distrust…Morgan has experienced them all, and it’s not over yet.

WHERE IS THE REST OF THE SERIES

I absolutely love these books, I first read them 10 years ago and. by now I've probably gone through the series 8 or 10 times. the audiobook was done really well and helped with some of the tricky pronunciations. I wish you had the rest of the series on here and I'm very disappointed that you do not.

Please PLEASE finish the series!!!

I read all 15 books of this series over 10 years ago, and the story still holds up in the audiobook. It's about a teenage girl discovering who she is when she has always felt a little different from those around her. Her discovery of witchcraft is seemingly realistic (except for the fantastical bits that makes it fiction, obviously), and the group of characters each develop their own stories as the series progresses. In my opinion, the series does not truly start to take off until book 4, and the book 6 (which audible has not finished the series, which is EXTREMELY frustrating!) is where the deeper story starts to overtly take shape. But it is completely worth it!! If you enjoy witch fiction I highly recommend this series. I read quite a lot of witch fiction and it is in my top 5.

PLEASE FINISH RECORDING THE OTHER 10 BOOKS!!! Not being able to finish the series like this is SUUUUUPER FRUSTRATING!!!

good series

Enjoyed listening to this series. I’m saddened that they apparently discontinued the audiobooks. Good character development and intriguing storylines. I guess I’ll have to find the print version to see how the story continues.

A New Beginning for the young Witch

Would you listen to Awakening again? Why?

Yes. I would listen to it again to pick up on things I may have missed and because the story is so interesting.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed the drama of one relationship ending painfully between Morgan and Cal, to the beginning of a true and more powerful relationship starting between Morgan and Hunter. It’s so Ironic that Hunter is the guy that she hated the most, and he might be her Soul mate.

What about Julia Whelan’s performance did you like?

In the beginning of this story I didn’t really like Julia because her voice just seemed to teenager, but as the story developed and she started using her Irish and Gaelic accents I really think she did an excellent job.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I enjoyed this book. It huts to see Morgan was betrayed by Cal, but I actually saw that coming. What I didn’t see was Hunter and Morgan hooking up possibly. It was also very sad to see David stripped of his powers for making a mistake only once. I just didn’t see why the council passed such a harsh punishment for a first time offender.

Any additional comments?

This book started with the escape of Cal and his mother, Morgan being rescued from a burning building by her friends. Then ended with Hunter showing Morgan she was his heart’s desire in Morganite stone. Great story, but I really think it left to many questions.
