Enjoyable story

This is the first book from this author that I have read. I enjoyed the story and the characters. My only complaint is for the FMC. Why do author's insist on making them care and tolerate mistreatment as adults. To the point where it's criminal or abusive from family members. I don't get it. But overall, the story was entertaining.

Pretty good!

As much as I like this, and I do like it, I love a good RH, I wish there was more group steamy bits. I mean, it’s RH for a reason, right, there’s mostly (*spoiler*) one on one and that was slightly disappointing for me. Otherwise the story was wonderful, the writing was a bit weak at first, which was surprising bc I’ve listened to others by this author, but give it a chance bc once it gets going it smooths out. The narrators are excellent too. I will definitely go on to more by this author.

Weak story

The story is predictable. Events are not believable, starting with the weird auction. The first sex scene is cheap and impersonal. Dialogue is cheesy.
Some details are laughable like, for example, turning on a phone that supposedly has no service but, miraculously, receives texts and voicemail. Really?
If you want random, neutral sex scenes, exaggerated drama or ceaseless insecurities, this is for you.
