Another awesome book
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything from this author. I have read most of her books. I enjoyed this very much as well. It ends a bit on a cliff hanger of sorts. But I would definitely be reading the next one in the series regardless. We get to see Georjie have a bit more of a romance with Lachlan. In born of the earth we first meet Georjie. She has a brief romance in that book and I was kind of sad to see nothing come of that but I think Georjie.and Lachlan make a cute couple. But the romance isn’t the focus of this book. The focus is on the mystery surrounding the witch.

Fantastic story that carried me away on every step, leaving the reality of my life behind and wove me into the very fabric of the tale as only the very best authors can!
It's beautiful, scary, action packed and left me with a feeling of hope.
Narrated beautifully portraying scenes perfectly.

Loving this Series !
Georjie was always one of my favorite characters and that hasn't changed. Georjie and Lachlan are on a mission it is beyond dangerous. There isn't a lot of romance but what is there is sweet . The narration by penning is very good also .

Ms. Knorr's creativity astounds again!
I have always loved Ms. Knorr's writing, but with every book she puts out I am amazed about how she can adapt her ideas to any setting. This book is part of a series in her Elemental universe and I love how she manages to describe and develop so many interesting supernatural/fantasy aspects!
In this particular book I love how we get to know more about Scottish lore, history and the fae! The main character (Georjie) has power over plants, herbs and other ground-related things and this is one type of supernatural which I haven't seen often in my line of reading. Thus, I'm enjoying every moment of reading about her!
I must mention that it is necessary that you read/listen to the first book in the Earth Magic Rises Trilogy, or else you'll start in the middle of the story. Otherwise, there are no downsides to this book. It has action, it has magic, it has friendship & human connection, it has brand new realities to explore (gosh I keep going back to the fae realm, the perspective is quite different from everything I've read before).
Also the narrator is pretty great! I love how she can adapt to different characters and different accents. She makes them all different, yet still understandable (including for non-native speakers). It was overall a wonderful book to listen to!
