Publisher's Summary

Best-selling author Rick Riordan presents best-selling author Roshani Chokshi and her sequel to Aru Shah and the End of Time.

Aru is only just getting the hang of this whole Pandava thing when the Otherworld goes into full panic mode. The god of love's bow and arrow have gone missing, and the thief isn't playing Cupid. Instead, they're turning people into heartless fighting-machine zombies. If that weren't bad enough, somehow Aru gets framed as the thief. If she doesn't find the arrow by the next full moon, she'll be kicked out of the Otherworld. For good.

But, for better or worse, she won't be going it alone. Along with her soul-sister, Mini, Aru will team up with Brynne, an ultra-strong girl who knows more than she lets on, and Aiden, the boy who lives across the street and is also hiding plenty of secrets. Together they'll battle demons, travel through a glittering and dangerous serpent realm, and discover that their enemy isn't at all who they expected.

Includes a bonus PDF of the book's glossary.

Great adventure story for all kids and adults

I asked my local bookstore for some books with female protagonists so my 8-year-old son can have a more balanced library. After hearing that he loved Harry Potter, they recommend the Aru Sha series. We read the first one together and then did the audiobook on a recent road trip. The whole family loved it!

Great story, awful narrator

I really enjoy these stories, but the narrator sounds amazed by EVERYTHING! It's very distracting and takes a lot away from the story.

Action packed

My 10 year old daughter and I listened to Aru Shah and the Song of Death during our daily commutes for school. This is a very fun, action packed story full of fun adventures. I appreciate the messages of friendship, believing in oneself, and teamwork in this book. We can't wait for Aru and friends next adventure!

Where Do I Begin?

I would have to write a book of my own to convey the many things that I love about this book! I loved the first one, but this one goes so much deeper into Hindu mythology. Chokshi seamlessly weaves the mythology into the story so that the reader comes away with a strong appreciation for the richness of the culture and an absolute love for Aru and her friends.
And they're funny! Chokshi knows her readers, and appeals to Geek pride. So many references that draw in the reader and make us feel like part of an elite community.
Then there's the love. The friendships that evolve, and Aru's ability to reflect on people and understand the reasons that they are the way they are, it's wise for her years, but not unbelievable.
I am a die hard fan of YA fiction. I love all things Rowling and Riordan. Now, I have a new author to add to my favorites collection. I hope to see many more volumes in the Aru Shah collection!
