Publisher's Summary

From million-copy best-selling author Jasper T. Scott

They have arrived.

AD 2150: Chris Randall just lost his job as a bodyguard. That night, after picking up his wife, Bree, from her shift at a local casino, he breaks the bad news.

Moments later, thunder cracks the sky, but there’s no lightning. Flaming debris rain across the valley, and a dark mass goes sailing out of the clouds, headed straight for LA.

It’s not one of the Union’s starships, because they can’t defy gravity like that. But then, what is it?

The answer chills both Chris and Bree to their cores: It’s an invasion.

They have to pick up their kids and get away from the city. But the Randalls soon discover that nowhere is far enough away to keep them safe.

2150??

This is supposed to be in 2150? The author lacks imagination. Without giving spoilers I have to say according to this authors version of "technology" in 2150, humans must have had a huge lack of desire to advance any thing beyond maybe 20 years from now. This is more like 2050 with some "service bots".
If, in 175 years, we haven't gone beyond shot guns and Glocks, gas engines and gas fueled trucks, electric charged Tesla Suvs, kids still carrying backpacks, hand held suitcases and canvas carrying-ons, remote garage door openers, just to name a few, then we deserve to be invaded and laughed at.

Story line is not well defined

Again a book that is just the first few chapters of a real book. Run here run there, monsters that eat people? A deeper story line may be there but as for me I will not read 10 books to get there. If you like to wait years between episodes then this book is for you.

Alien invasion

I finished the book, but i have no desire to see what happens next to this group of survivors.
The author had some promising story lines but failed to hook me to find out what happens next.
The narrator did a great job with the book.

Exciting Alien Invasion!

Arrival written by Jasper T. Scott is an absolutely brilliant prequel to the awesome four book Ascension Wars series. The intriguing storyline established the background as to why the aliens invaded earth and what happened in the initial invasion while simultaneously fleshing out the realistic and engaging characters. The action and visualizations were intense and suspenseful; I could easily envision the story as it unfolded. The plot twists and turns held my attention captive. The cadence and individual voices of the characters as well as the pacing of the narration by Jonathan Davis was riveting. I eagerly await the next book. I was provided a free review copy of this audio book and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Flawed hero

This book involves a future where the haves and have not's are separated by a wide gap. A body guard is replaced my robot guards just before an invasion by alien forces. He must work to protect not only his own family but also the family of the family who fired him.

Interesting concept of an alien invasion and the interaction between the humans involved.

The narration was outstanding

Great writing and performance

I am really enjoying this book and it's not even over. Just the way the author writes and describes everything is really enjoyable. All of the characters make sense and are not superheros, etc. Very realistic version of a futuristic alien invasion. Loving this book!!!

Good story..

This was a pretty good book about an alien invasion and two families trying to stay hidden to stay alive. Lots of killing of aliens that ate people, dead or alive.

Had I known this would end in a semi-cliffhanger I would never have bought. God only knows when the next book will be out on Audible. And since I average 175+ books a year do you really think I'll remember this book?

No romance and the F-bomb was used 13 times.

As for the narration: Jonathan Davis did a good job on the emotions. When he was supposed to whisper he actually did.

Alien Hide and Seek

This book starts fast but then devolves into a detailed game of hide and seek.
I wished there was more about the Kyron but the book it mostly the gruff thoughts of the protagonist.
