The KJV Apocrypha in a single volume

The Apocrypha ("hidden things") are contemporaneous with the Old Testament, but were not officially accepted as part of the Bible when the Hebrew "canon" was set. They did, however, form part of the Greek Scriptures and came into English Bibles by that route. The writings of the Apocrypha run the whole gamut of literary genres: histories, romances, devotional works, proverbs, and sermons. Many complement parts of the Old Testament, and listeners will recognize some familiar Biblical characters in the narratives, such as Daniel and Esther.

I hadn't yet read the Apocrypha

This is the apocrypha that is part of the KJV that was originally published all together with the rest of the Bible. Not sure why it stopped being published together. Glad it was available on audio so I could go through it all. The narrator is consistent and clear. The content is fascinating and valuable in my opinion. Lord, have mercy on us all.

Interesting Read

Little nuggets found within the pages. If you haven’t read it before give it a read. Stories that hit me hard were just providing more context to the typical biblical stories. Enjoyed it!

Great Books

I love the clarity the Apocrypha provides so I purchased this several years ago. The major challenge/fault I have with this version of the Apocrypha is that it's not broken down by Book and Chapter. Clicking the forward icon takes you to the next book rather than the next chapter making it difficult to locate where you last finished unless you set a book mark. Although I continue to use it I'd hoped that this would have been by now.
