Acerca de esta escucha

Heavenlies roam. Eternia protects. Avalon thrives.

Cal is sorted, Avalon stands. A winner is he!

Artorian wakes in youthful form version three, and happier he could not be. Exploring Avalon is a treat to the senses, with cat cafes galore and gossip flowing evermore. Lectures on Laws and leisurely walks fill his days, with plenty abound to catch the eye. All is well on this enthusiastic stroll until a Heavenly falls from the sky, and Artorian can kiss his simple days good-bye.

Escaping to Eternia by shoving a healer into a bag, Artorian has to contend with the mess he left behind. The place may be The Pale, but it’s janitor time! Eternium is ready for spring cleaning, but what’s that strange scent in the air? It’s foul, thick, and cheesy with flair. The penguins are here. All will despair.

Artorian prepares his most luminous means. For some stains, more Dakka is needed for cleans.

Lo que los oyentes dicen sobre Antelucan: A Divine Dungeon Series

Con calificación alta para:

The Audiobook Series Initially Captivated Listeners With Its Engaging World-building, Intriguing Concept, And Memorable Characters. However, As The Series Progressed, Many Felt That The Storyline Became Convoluted, Lacking Meaningful Progression And Filled With Excessive Filler Content. The Constantly Changing Game Mechanics And Repetitive Explanations Further Hindered The Narrative Flow. Despite The Clever Pop Culture References And The Potential For Character Development, The Overarching Narrative Seemed To Stagnate, Leaving Some Listeners Frustrated With The Lack Of A Cohesive, Satisfying Story.

Story lacked a core conflict.

This book felt like it lacked a core conflict to resolve. I love the characters, but they really need some kind of obstacle to overcome.

Another setback

I love the concept and characters, they’re what keep me listening, but the constant starting over and change to rules is making this convulsed and dull. Hoping things straighten out soon and we can get back on Artorian’s real development.

Reset the power curve Revitilize the series

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher.

Performance Review:
John Pirhalla has grown on me over these last 3 books. It was hard to lose the original narrator on book 11. I am sure it is hard for a VA to come into a well established series and it took a couple books to get comfortable with the new voices. Now in Antelucan it feels like he has always been there. I look forward to hopefully finishing out the series with John's voice as he is really doing well bringing these characters to life.

Story Review:
Artorian, the no longer grandfatherly returns to the world of Eternium and gets involved in more hijinks. After clearing up political issues for the last few books this book seems fresh. Artorian is the same old man now in child form without all of the power creep. He gets to relearn the world he has missed out on in his rest and repair the problems that he ironically helped create.

The lore is as deep as ever with jokes literally taking me minutes to realize the punchline. "Why are nuts on the same tier as mathematical concepts? oh yeah there is a whole thing several books ago about counting using nuts". The story has become extremely self referential but we start to see glimpses of the eventual, and actual, ties to Completionist Chronicles. Can't wait for the next book and the seemingly endless number of books that Dennis has planned after that.

I hope the next one is better

Voice acting was,as always, great.

I eagerly wait for each of these books, but series needs to wrap up, eventually. It seems to be just dragging on.

This particular book had me lost at the start. There didn’t seem to be a point to what was going on. Then they jumped back into the game, and in just a couple chapters, the book is done. It seemed a bit disjointed.

I did kind of like the BBEG, and how he ended, but that encounter left me with more questions than the book answered on how and why he did things.

Overall, it was not great. The end was what I expected from the series, but not the beginning 2/3.

Not much meaningful progession

This is my 3ed time through this book. The second time starting at book one in this series and working up to this book. I was planning on purchasing the next book in the series but I'm on the fence. The change in narrators from the first books was a serious jolt and continuously annoys me. There is little consistency in how names are pronounced. The personalities of the characters changed just because of the narration. Every time the narrator mispronounces a word, a common English word I want to yell at them! It is a narrator's job to speak their language correctly, not to mention where is the producer! Then there is the story line, there is not much meaningful progession and it seems like topics are just swirling. I know Artorian is in a child body, but and the author may want to show the dichotomy of a old man in a child's body/brain but almost everything came off as either patronizing or bratty. At this point the book feels more like a slog to get through than a book that makes my invested in the story line. The only reason I will move forward with the story line is I want to see how things connect to the completionist chronicles. I have to reiterate having the narrator change mid story line seriously ticked me off! The change in narrators felt like a betrayal of the story, and my investment in it!

Don't give up half way through.

Don't give up half way through, a lot of build up was used at the end of book 12. A lot of 13 is new build up and pays off twards the end.
