George Müller was a Christian evangelist and director of the Ashley Down orphanage in Bristol, England. The Life of Trust contains his diary up to 1860, supplemented by autobiographical notes at the start and throughout the text. Mueller founded a number of orphanages in England in the 19th century whilst refusing to personally benefit in any way, fully trusting that God would provide in his financial needs. Throughout his life, he relied on God’s goodness in order to feed, clothe, and house thousands of English children under his care.

With scarcely enough food or money for his own family, George Muller opened his heart and home. Sustained by God's provision, the Muller house "Breakfast Club" of thirty orphans grew to five large houses that ultimately over ten thousand children would call home.

Confusing chapter titles
The content is inspiring! I did suffer confusion with the chapter titles not corresponding with the reading. Finally learned that the book only has three chapters divided into sections which the publisher actually gave chapter titles to. Anyway an amazing story after I got beyond the confusion!

My, My, My. What a great book. I learned some wonderful things about God’s love and his relationship with us as I listened. Felt so honored and did not want the book to end.

Inspirational and practical

I listen to this over and over and over.
I have both read and listened to this book several times. It's beautifully written and is a testament to faith in GOD like none I've ever heard. The narrator is perfect for this book, any book I'm sure. His voice is soothing & he reads as if he'd written this book. I love everything about this audible selection.

Truly Amazing!!!
As you read this account of how George Muller’s faith both produced continual success, in at times extreme need, yet also continued to grow and grow as he learned to trust God (through private prayer only) for more and more mouths to feed and missionaries to support.
