A Lesson in Grace

The overwhelming theme of “measuring up” really spoke to me at a heart level. I found some of myself in 15 year old Phoebe and 48 yr old Jo. We never really out grow our need for relationship and approval…but the overall story touched on so many different issues without belaboring them. Racism, teen angst, loss, marriage and betrayal are in focus, but the greatest take away is FORGIVNESS!

Well written -very well done.

This was a fabulous book, very appropriate and very true. As a mother of three adopted children, all different races I related to the story. The development of characters was excellent and I strongly recommend for all families
