Story
We’ve all seen the memes that populate the internet: live your truth, follow your heart, you only have one life to live. They sound nice and positive. But what if these slogans are actually lies that unhinge us from reality and leave us anxious and exhausted? Another Gospel? author Alisa Childers invites you to examine modern lies that are disguised as truths in today’s culture. Everyday messages of peace, fulfillment, and empowerment swirl around social media. On the surface, they seem like sentiments of freedom and hope, but in reality, they are deeply deceptive.

Story
In an increasingly secular society, those who have a biblical worldview are now a shrinking minority. As mainstream culture grows more hostile toward the Bible’s truths and those who embrace them, you’ll face mounting pressures — from family, friends, media, academia, and government — to change and even abandon your beliefs. But these challenges also create abundant opportunities to stand strong for Christ and shine light to those hurt by the darkness of our day.

Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity.

Story
Is there a new reformation happening in the church? It depends on who you ask. The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a popular and fast-growing new movement of Christians who emphasize signs and wonders, and teach that God is giving new revelation through new apostles and prophets. But is this biblical Christianity? In Counterfeit Kingdom, apologists and NAR experts Holly Pivec and Douglas Geivett show how the NAR’s key tenets distort the gospel, twist the Scriptures, are influenced by New Age practices, and lead faithful Christians to shipwreck their faith.

How did the world arrive at its current, disorienting state of identity politics, and how should the church respond? Historian Carl R. Trueman discusses how influences ranging from traditional institutions to technology and pornography moved modern culture toward an era of “expressive individualism.” Investigating philosophies from the Romantics, Nietzsche, Marx, Wilde, Freud, and the New Left, he outlines the history of Western thought to the distinctly sexual direction of present-day identity politics and explains the modern implications of these ideas.

Modern culture is increasingly outspoken against a biblical understanding of what it means to be a woman. Even some Christians, swayed by the LGBTQ+ movement, have rejected God’s word on issues of sexuality and gender in favor of popular opinion. In light of these pressures, it’s more important than ever to help women see the truth about who God created them to be. In this powerful book, Rosaria Butterfield uses Scripture to confront 5 common lies about sexuality, faith, feminism, gender roles, and modesty often promoted in our secular culture today.

To some, the concept of having faith in a higher power or a set of religious beliefs is nonsensical. Indeed, many view religion in general, and Christianity in particular, as unfounded and unreasonable. Norman Geisler and Frank Turek argue, however, that Christianity is not only more reasonable than all other belief systems, but is indeed more rational than unbelief itself. With conviction and clear thinking, Geisler and Turek guide listeners through some of the traditional, tested arguments for the existence of a creator God.

Not everything called "social justice" today is compatible with a biblical vision of a better world. The Bible offers hopeful and distinctive answers to deep questions of worship, community, salvation, and knowledge that ought to mark a uniquely Christian pursuit of justice.

Publisher's summary
A movement seeks to redefine Christianity. Some think that it is a much-needed progressive reformation. Others believe that it is an attack on historic Christianity.
Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor who called himself a hopeful agnostic.
Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions that struck at the core of the Christian faith. After everything she had ever believed about God, Jesus, and the Bible had been picked apart, she found herself at the brink of despair...until God rescued her, helping her to rebuild her faith, one solid brick at a time.
In a culture of endless questions, you need solid answers. If you or someone you love has encountered the ideas of progressive Christianity and aren’t sure how to respond, Alisa’s journey will show you how to determine - and rest in - what’s unmistakably true.

A must listen! Bring your doubts!
What an enjoyable and frightening listen! I love that the author took the time to tell us her story in her own voice! In “Another Gospel”, Alisa tells her story of an encounter with a “church” group who appeared to be Christian but had fully abandoned historical Christianity. This belief in “Another Gospel” is happening more and more in churches. Alisa tells her story in a beautiful and grace-filled way while also educating her audience on how words and principles have been twisted by well known progressive leaders and how this is leading people down a slippery slope to unbelief. I applaud Alisa on her willingness to get this story out to many who may not know that they have been deceived. If you have friends who talk about how their faith is evolving or if you have been hurt by a church and have begun to lose your faith in the God of the Bible and in understanding the Bible as God’s Word, please listen to this book to find the Jesus whose only purpose in coming to earth was to save you from your sin and give you a freedom and peace that accompanies all your struggles in life. His grace is sufficient! We don’t need a different gospel. (P.s. Childers also has a wonderful podcast!)

Answers so many questions I hadn’t even thought of yet
This book is so well thought out and read so well by the author. I’ve already listened to a couple of the chapters several times - critical theory, for instance. Prophecy is clear that the church will apostatize and Alisa describes where the progressive church (formerly New Age) has drifted. The title alone is enticing and descriptive enough to draw you in. You will not be disappointed.

There is only one true Gospel - Another Gospel? brilliantly defends this.
To quote from my favourite part in Another Gospel? - “God either exists, or he doesn’t. The Bible is his Word, or it’s not. Jesus was raised from the dead, or he wasn’t. Christianity is true, or it isn’t. There is no “my truth” when it comes to God.”
This book identifies, discusses and shows why some prominent false progressive Christianity claims are simply not justified.
It’s excellently written and reads so well. Alisa’s message is one that needs to be shared so that Christians come to know, from a gracious, thoughtful and studied point of view, that historic Christianity and the Gospel As it is written is factual and and should not be changed to suit our world views.
The way Alisa includes personal stories and experiences into the book makes it so relatable, and applicable to every day life as a Christian.
This book will assist Christians in identifying Progressive Christianity views and teachings, and apply spiritual discernment to remain true to Jesus’s Gospel, and not Another Gospel.

This book is vital
In such polarizing times, I have been very disheartened to see people posting and quoting things that “look” Christian but are, in fact, the opposite. This book can help you get your story straight, to put it simply. It’s vital to know who we really are if we call ourselves Christians. To recognize biblical authority, and to recognize when it is contradicted. I’ll be listening again, and buying a hard copy for reference.

The book I was wanting
I had been wanting to have a book that helped me understand how well known Christians who grew up thinking very much like me could leave historic Christianity for the non-Christian version offered by progressives. Alisa's honest look at her childhood past and recent past in having to face significant challenges to give both the story and the apologetics of why historic Christianity is true. Every modern Christian should read this book to understand the times.

A must listen for such troubling times as these
Alisa in a humble manner refuses to identify herself as a theologian but she has scholarly researched church history and the scriptures, and in this treatise very clearly, clinically and simply analysed, and debunked concepts such as progressive christianity, critical theory and deconstruction to help the listener appreciate the authenticity, veracity and authority of scriptures.
I recommend this book to all christians, especially those whose faith may have been shaken by the shameful, mindless and disgraceful behaviours of many notable evangelical christians during the last US elections.
Alisa in this book calls us back to the scriptures, to faith and to Christ-likeness.

It has used logical arguments, reliable sources and irrefutable evidence to confirm the Bibles reliability. Thank you.

So needed in the world right now...
This book was refreshing and powerful. In my own journey the last few years since my wife walked out on me, away from God into a same sex relationship. My reconstruction began, over the last 5 years I have asked many questions, began reading blogs, listening to podcasts about this very topic I was wrestling in my heart with but didn't know how to phrase it. So to see Alisa be interviewed on "capturing christianity" and share parts of her story, give overview of Historic and Progressive Christianity. Then to listen to this book, made a lot of things align in my heart and mind. This book is prophetic, just and needed in this world right now. I encourage everybody to read/listen to it. Thank you Alisa for your time spent researching, praying, writing and executing on real truth with the help of the Holy Spirit and many bible scholars and theologians.

The Straight and Narrow Road
What a gift! Alisa Childers has a well researched, thoroughly documented and beautifully narrated must read/listen testimony of the power of God in and through her life.
I loved every word that placed Jesus, The Word in His rightful place from the premise of truth because He is The Truth.
Memorable moments were the honourable mentions of all the saints who supported Alisa Childers from researching information to editing and execution of Another Gospel. A wonderful reminder from an historic Christian point of view, the Church working together as the Body of Christ and Jesus is the Head. He makes the crooked places straight... His sheep hear His voice... Narrow is the road and few find it.
I have personally experienced pulpit preaching that Christianity is progressive, and Jesus is inclusive. As an accessory to my Bible, Another Gospel has helped me to understand and discern Historic Christianity is my narrow road of choice. One of the last days warnings from The Word, Jesus: "Do not be deceived."

Straight truth in a world overwhelmed by the new
This is a really emotionally thoughtful journey of revealing the true gospel. It spoke to me on so many levels of my own faith journey and I really encourage everyone to read this book and have their eyes open to see, and call out, progressive lies about who Jesus is, and about Christianity. Alisa is a wonderful teacher and writer and this book will equip you to think deeper about any doubts or fears you may have about faith.

Wow! A must listen!
I’ve highly recommended the physical copy, but having this author herself read this aloud is very powerful.
Another Gospel? is a must read. In it, Alisa carefully dismantles lofty ideas that are raised up against the Lord, and equips the listener with knowledge and conviction that what we believe is true. Our faith is not blind, but rather is grounded upon the solid Rock of Christ, for whom there is much evidence. Take a listen (or a read) and you will blessed.

oh, so good!
On my second listen, now others joining me... just had to jump out (middle of chapter 3, unpacking of creeds and evidence) and post a quick review...
Thank you, Alisa, so timely for my wife and I. We're grateful for you sharing and imparting your journey with us.
As a life- long follower, I highly recommend this book. It engages mind and heart.

The Bible is clear that all believers are called to defend their faith. However, if apologetics is the formal process that we have come to expect, this sounds like an impossible task. But what if apologetics could be part of natural, normal conversation ― both from the pulpit and in everyday life?
