Resumen del Editor

Christian parenting is hard work - and it's getting harder. Parents have a deep desire to pass on their faith, but fear that today's increasingly skeptical and hostile world will eventually lead their kids to reject the truth of Christianity. That leaves many parents feeling overwhelmed - uncertain of what they can do to help their children, given the difficulty and extent of the faith challenges they will face.

This practical and timely resource gives parents the confidence of knowing what to discuss with their children and how to discuss it in order to facilitate impactful conversations that will form the basis of a lifelong faith. In a friendly, parent-to-parent voice, Natasha Crain identifies 30 specific conversations about God that parents must have with their children, organizing them under the categories of

  • The existence of God
  • Science and God
  • The nature of God
  • Believing in God
  • The difference God makes

Chapters are sequenced in a curriculum-oriented way to provide a cumulative learning experience, making this book a flexible resource for use in multiple settings: homes, church classes, youth groups, small groups, private Christian schools, and homeschools. Every chapter has a step-by-step conversation guide with discussion questions and tips, and content is readily adaptable for use with kids of any age (elementary through high school).

A Thorough and Understandable Apologetics Masterpiece

Natasha Crain eloquently addresses topics like the moral argument, the cosmological argument, and the problem of evil with equal parts scholarship and clarity. This is a great book for anyone at any level wanting to better understand the arguments for the existence of God.

A must read for everyone with children.

This books will equip you to have the most meaningful conversations with your children. If you ever fell awkward about explaining your faith, this is a great start along with the books the author recommends and quoted from in support. The way it was organized and the examples used seem to come from someone with an education background, because of the simplicity and patterns used. This was time well invested.

Very practical book

I've listened through a hundred audio books here, and this is the first one I'm going to order in hard copy to have at home. The chapters are well thought out, broken down and easy to understand. I truly feel equipped to help lead my kids in their walk and to help them to justify their beliefs to others. Great narration, too.

Just the right amount of apologetics

I am fairly new to apologetic books and have read through a couple already. Natasha goes over quite a bit but doesn't completely overwhelm you in this book. If you are new or a long time Christian, there's no better way to start reading on how to defend your faith and God then to start with this book. What a great way to introduce these topics to your children! You can go deeper by reading other apologetic books on Christ by Strobel, Warner and Habermas/Licoma or On God by McDowell (Evidence That Demands a Verdict). I wanted to read through this book first and now I'll re-read on either a daily/weekly basis to get my children involved in these topics. Great job to Natasha and thank you for writing this book!
