Anger and stress are both destroyers, and they must be controlled before they bring devastating harm. Mack exhorts us: "You don't have to be overcome and destroyed by ungodly anger or stress. By God's grace, you can be an overcomer." Of all the resources available to us, the Bible contains the most trustworthy and helpful guidance on how to handle ungodly anger and stress.

Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Story
Turning the other cheek does not mean standing by while the enemies of God dismantle Christian civilization and brainwash our children. Decrying the cowardice that masquerades as meekness, Eric Metaxas summons the Church to battle. An attenuated and unbiblical “faith” based on what Bonhoeffer called “cheap grace” has sapped the spiritual vitality of millions of Americans. Paying lip service to an insipid “evangelism,” they shrink from combating the evils of our time. Metaxas refutes the pernicious lie that fighting evil politicizes Christianity.

Anger and stress affect each of us every day-even if we aren't feeling them ourselves, we come into contact with people who are. But their commonplace nature shouldn't cause us to shrug them away. Anger and stress are both destroyers, and they must be controlled before they bring devastating harm. Mack exhorts us: "You don't have to be overcome and destroyed by ungodly anger or stress. Really good book
"Anger is a response to some event or situation in life that causes us irritation, frustration, pain, or other displeasure ... Anger is fed by feelings of disappointment, hurt, rejection, and embarrassment." (16) Human anger is rooted in the divine nature. God's concern for both justice and righteousness stimulate His anger. When He sees evil, He experiences anger. (19) "Anger is not evil; anger is not sinful; anger is not a part of our fallen nature; anger is not Satan at work in our lives. Quite the contrary. Anger is evidence that we are made in God's image..." (21) "Human anger is designed by God to motivate us to take constructive action in the face of wrongdoing or when facing injustice." (23) "The divine model is clear: God's response to anger is always to take loving action, to seek to stop the evil, and to redeem the evil-doer.” (26) Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is perhaps a good example of anger expressed in a more constructive way.”

Really good approaches but all stories are derived from the Bible or from Christian experiences which made me feel thrown. I believe and this helps but also feels like I could have heard this information at my Church instead of paying for a book.

May work for people who haven’t heard of another book called The Holy Bible. I lost interest in the second chapter. Author is simply describing and quoting another book that no one seems to know for sure if it’s fiction with non-fiction elements or not. Unfortunately I need help, not a bible study. Wasted money
