Publisher's Summary

The Holy Spirit inspired Jude to quote Enoch for a reason. The Ancient Book of Enoch opens by addressing those in the Tribulation period. It contains numerous prophecies about the flood and fire judgments and the two comings of the Messiah. It teaches that the Messiah is the son of God and that he will shed his blood to redeem us and even predicts the generation that this would occur!

The book of Enoch prophesies a window of time in which the "Second Coming" would occur and prophesies that there will be 23 Israeli Prime Ministers ruling in 58 terms from AD 1948 to the beginning of the Tribulation period and much more. Even though it prophecies that the Bible would be created and says we will be judged by our obedience to the Bible, it also makes it clear that this book is not to be added to the Canon of Scripture.

The Ancient Book of Enoch recounts the history of the angels that fell in the days of Jared, Enoch’s father. It testifies to their marriages with human women and their genetic experiments. This commentary includes a previously unknown chapter from the Dead Sea Scrolls that actually explains how they did their genetic tampering. The commentary is from a fundamentalist Christian view, brought to you by Biblefacts Ministries, biblefacts.org.

I was hoping for something better.

Lacked objectivity. Needs a better translation and commentary. Jarring transitions between translation and opinion. I am all for an author giving their view and analysis, but from what I've read the translation used was not faithful to the words of the original text. Give the reader a clear objective translation of the text available, and after each passage then give commentary, instead of in the middle of a sentence. This way I can separate the text from the author's analysis and opinion and decide with my own reason what follows and what does not.

Thorough, fascinating, easy to understand

Highly recommend this version. The book was written well, and the speaker did a phenomenal job in presentation. Made a very complex book in history easy to understand. The author added inserts of authors knowledge and ideas that was a huge help, I was thankful for the inserts while listening, helped with understanding on deeper level. Very impressed.

Very interesting

I found this to be a very interesting and educational title. I only had two complaints: the narrator was very good but sometimes was so dramatic that I cringed a little. But I don’t receive excessive emotions too well.

The other complaint was that it was hard to tell when the gnostic portions started or stopped; or if the narrator skipped them I couldn’t tell because it was in audio. I also found the footnotes distracting sometimes.

Information was excellent.

Thank you for providing this work.

Excellent book!

I have read another Enoch, and now plan to re read. I appreciated the explanations and citations. I listened to all over the course of 2 days. It helped me understand much more of the Bible by providing background information. already ordering a couple more books by Ken Johnson.

excellent Narration, footnotes at question

i enjoyed being able to listen to parts of the Book of Enoch which are so wildly vivid and evocative of the visuals one might see in Cathedral chapels. on that note, it's my bad that I chose Ken's version of the Book of Enoch to read. his footnotes are obviously skewed from a protestant point of view in the footnotes section. he appears to obviously have no idea about Catholic faith practice. with all due respect, sans the cheap shots, certainly an interesting read.
