An Hour for Magic

When four guilty men are acquitted of a horrific crime, a prophetic vision is set in motion and a group of magicians must trust in each other to prevent a powerful beast from being released, a demon hell bent on destroying what remains of the human race and reclaiming this planet as his once and for all.

They soon discover that their fates revolve around ensuring the released murderers stay alive and preserving the safety of a little girl named Maggie who holds the answers to all their questions inside a book written by her grandfather, the mysterious Mister Hollow. Mister Hollow has crossed paths with all of the magicians at pivotal moments in their lives and when they discover their connection, Mister Hollow's true identity and the motives behind his morbid curiosity are revealed. The Beast, which Harry Houdini imprisoned almost a hundred years ago, depends upon the murderers' deaths in order to gain its own freedom.

World-renowned illusionist Davino Silverbrook finds himself seduced during a moment of weakness when the Beast promises him unparalleled magic in exchange for release. Will Davino give into the madness and commit murder to gain what he so desperately wants?

Great twist on the chosen one trope.

The protagonist, Shelly, isn't your typical hero. She's flawed and relatable, and I loved watching her grow and overcome her fears.

Whimsical Tale for All Ages

An Hour for Magic is a whimsical tale that transcends age barriers. The audiobook's charming narrative and engaging characters make it suitable for both young and adult listeners. The magical elements are woven into the story with finesse, creating an atmosphere of joy and fascination. Although the ending left me wanting more closure, it was a delightful journey overall.

Interesting book

It is a very well-written and well-narrated story. The storyline is so divergent but also so complex. Many characters, and many storylines but everything is perfectly connected and everything starting to make sense at the right time. But be aware this listening is not for a week. It's full of kidnapping and horror stories. Make sure that you will handle it before losing. It shows how evil some people are. Overall great listening experience.

Excellent narrator!

The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters and story to life. The different voices and accents really added to the immersion.
