Fabulous P&P Variation

Such an unexpected twist! What I lived about this P&P Version is that it was a refreshing new take. There was zero repetition of original plot lines, except how badly Miss Bingley wants to entrap Mr Darcy.

I enjoyed the easy conversations and ease of how the relationships grew. I recommended this variation.

A completely new twist

I LOVED this book, I wish it were longer. I'm so, so happy to see some Jann Rowland books being narrated by Harry Frost finally, I have tried many times, but just can't listen to his usual narrator, so to have HF narrating give me joy. I love his stories, they are always smart stories with great dialogue and unexpected story lines. This is no different - it is set at the same time as canon, but things go a bit different starting at the assembly and it ends in a completely unexpected way. I LOVED Mr. Bennett in this version, he is the version of himself that I always imagine in my head. ODC and Jane and Bingley are as expected, with some fun moments of banter between ODC.

I would definitely recommend this story - the story is great + the narration is great and it's long enough to get a well developed story. Again, I wish it were longer - maybe a longer epilogue with more detail? Anyway - it's worth a credit.

Great reread

This book is so good. So many surprising events. I had a great time reading this book or I should say relistening to a book I read before. Great Jaff

An Intriguing Variation

As always, Harry Frost is a terrific voice talent. This version of Miss Bingley is more aggressive and it’s a satisfying plot.

Compromise is the name of the game

I LOVE that Harry Frost is now narrating Jann Rowland's books!

With Compromise as a focus of this story the question is who and where along with who can help stop it? Got to love Darcy's valet! Mrs Bennet dies in childbirth with Lydia so that changes much in the Bennet household for the better. No Wickham or Lady Catherine on page so no issue there. This was a fun story to see how things turn out in the end. Worth the read/listen,

A Unique Conclusion

I do not believe I have ever read this particular outcome before in a P&P variation. As the description supplies, Caroline is determined to have Darcy. Her machinations will provide unexpected consequences in this light-hearted read. Even with some focus on Caroline, the romance between ODC isn’t left out and is evident from the beginning.

Harry Frost, one of the very best voice actors in this genre is brilliant, as always. His Caroline Bingley performance is spot on, and even when she’s being crazy, I have to grin at the hearing of her.

Happy to recommend.

Unique Twist and Story

I thought this was a great book with unique situation. I don’t want to give anything away but you won’t find this story anywhere else.

Harry Frost is AMAZING and I love anything he narrates!

Fun and Different

Not read a P&P variation like this one. Caroline is absolutely delusional, mean and nuts. Elizabeth and Darcy are friends from the beginning. Mrs. Bennett died giving birth to her fifth child when Elizabeth was 5 years old. Wickham is not a player in this book. I liked Darcy's valet, Snell. All in all this was a very good story and was superbly performed. Highly recommend.

Pleasantly Unexpected Storyline

A plot twist unlike any other I’ve listened to. I really enjoyed the story and Harry Frost is always a great narrator.

Wish the story would have been more drawn out. There are lots of little opportunities that could have added to the overall story.

Regardless, I definitely recommend!
